I do. I'll wait and see and all that, but I don't see much potential for that setting anymore. Past, present, future.. Either boring or borked.

Maybe "boring" isn't the right word for the past. I just don't see the appeal in revisiting old events.. knowing how the galaxy ends up.

I don't want to go back into the past. We all know the Reapers are going to **** us in the end. A new game taking place the same time as Shepard would be lame because I would thinking of him/her all the time. The only way I could go along with a ME:4 is for it to take place LONG after ME3. I'm talking like 50-100 years at best. Maybe even 1000 years. Let Shepard become a Myth and the Reapers gone for good

That's what I would call the borked scenario. How is that going to work.. They went crazy with the choices. Synthesis/Control/Destroy. Genocide on Krogan, etc..

After release, Casey Hudson said there wouldn't be any games after that timeline, but they could have changed their minds now that he's gone. I just don't know how they'd go about it.

They could break out the Deus Ex: Invisible War option where a single outcome that is a combination of all three endings happened. Or you set it far enough in the future that it's a moot point.

I'm willing to bet that with all of the changes to Southern Thedas in DAI we'll be heading north to Tevinter or the Free Marches next game.

People keep mentioning Deus Ex Invisible War like that would be a viable option, completely ignoring that the entire idea of merging the 3 ideas into one defeats the purpose of having multiple options. Also that Invisible War is one of the worst games to ever be developed.

TES did a similar thing with "dragon breaks". The result is just more insanity in the lore and it's gods.

I wonder if Cass would be interested in starting a family with the Inquisitor.

Didn't we talk about this? She seems like the type to adopt some scruffy kid on the street.

And Elder Scrolls lore is a convoluted mess. Your point? Canonizing multiple endings quite literally never works.

Maybe?

~.~ I'm sort of intoxicated.

And I doubt it to be honest, Cassandra would want the Chantry to take care of them.

Uh.. I think it sucks too. That's my point. I wasn't supporting it.

Maybe. I guess I just see her as an embodiment of those good things in the Chantry.

It probably doesn't matter anyway.

We never get those kinds of endings.

Yeah... maybe they'll do something cool though, if they're winding down stories of Southern Thedas. That's my only hope. That they have the courtesy to not be mysterious or negative at the last moment.

Did anyone had a laugh hearing two random nobles in the Skyhold hall near Varric talking in not so veiled sentences about Inquisitor's romances? They start doing it after you initiate the romance and then continue as you progress. In Cassandra's case and Trevelyan, for example, they start gossiping about the possible union of two powerful noble names, then exhanging of romantic gifts, climaxing, sewing gowns for the wedding and then wondering about why no wedding date has been set yet.

Also, in Val Royeaux two random npcs will also talk about how everyone is talking about lady Pentaghast and Inquisitor and wondering about the wedding too. Maybe I'll try to get Cassandra in my party and go find them again, just to see if she'll comment on that, as some characters do, that'd be funny.

An observation for you other Cassandra fans that have reservations about making her Divine. Her character card doesn't change if she was romanced. Meaning even if Divine the romance takes precedent. Could be meaningful; could be nothing. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Honestly, should that matter? If the romance is stopping your from making Cassandra Divine, you're committing ironic high treason.

I'm more concerned about their approaches with mages, and made my choice based on who I thought would handle the position better. That is: I picked everyone not named Leliana and will hope for the best next game feeling safe with that choice.

It doesn't? This thread shows otherwise.

It doesn't. That's Divine Cassandra (non-romanced). Also what Br3admax said. If you think Cassandra's the best but not allowing her to do her duty because of that Pentaghast poo-nani, shame on you.

I'm not sure what you mean. You say her card doesn't change if she's romanced, but it does change from her Death card (sitting on a horse) to Temperance (blue-red eye card). And then it changes again to the Divine card if she's made Divine.

If she's romanced it does not change. You only get the Divine card if she wasn't romanced and then made Divine. If she's romanced at all (unless you break up with her) the Temperance card takes precedence over everything.

What if you choose the break-up option after she's made Divine during the epilogue?
