I will say, Cassandra is my favorite character (besides the Inquisitor of course) in DA:I.   Josephine is up there as well.

My female Inquisitor romanced Josephine ---- it kind of reminded me of that cute Liara-style romance (minus the actual in-depth love scenes).

My male Inquisitor is in the middle of romancing Cassandra and it reminds me in comparison to Mass Effect with the Jacqueline/Jack/Subject Zero romance.   You work hard for it... she seems tough at first meet but you learn about how feminine and passionate her heart is way deep down after what seems like much more effort with a much better reward.

Yea I agree with everything you said. I also like how she isn't that typical woman that needs to be swept off her feet. She fights at your side as your equal and would take on anything that stands in the inquisition way.

Lol, funny thing is that she secretly wants that.

Yea lol. She wants that, but I don't think she needs that to keep her going in life. Like she said… she only loved one other man. Besides, she's going to be divine, so she will have to put the chantry and people before anything else. No time to be tied down to a single person.  Southern Thedas will be counting on her. ^_^

I don't think she loved him. She tells Varric it was fleeting. She loves the Inquisitor. I wouldn't write it off so easily as simply being tied down to someone. She's never known anything like that. She's happy. Being a Divine will be a hard course for both.

Eh, so you guys are all bent on her being your canon Divine? I still haven't decided.

I'm not. I'm just entertaining the scenario.

And trying to remember the last time I was in love. You don't shed something like that easily! Hell, when you're in love, you can't wait to get home from work after one day. Imagine if a religion or outside force split you and your love apart.. I can't imagine it actually.. but I'm trying.. and all I can say is it wouldn't be easy.. no matter what's at stake. And even when you get over it, something will eventually trigger it again. lol

I don't like sad endings, romances included. That's way I'm not buying into how awesomely Solas ditches femquisitor. So I'm still contemplating this whole situation with Cassandra. Although I suspect that with all the wild choices we can get as endings the next installment will be as far away from south Thedas as possible, because otherwise it will be a headache for devs to accomodate all that. So I'm thinking any Divine will do, it won't majorly matter.

I hear you.

Seems that Bioware does like it though. Bit of drama going on now on twitter actually. David Gaider joked that he wanted to write more unhealthy relationships. An onslaught happened... from abuse victims and such. Then more jokes. But now he's apologized.

I think it illustrates their love for drama though.. even with the apologies.

I'm not... But to be fair, I never really agree with her direction as a divine anyway.

Yeah. Well... My life sucks enough tbh.

If I told them that though, they'd probably just want to know details, for more material.

So I somehow managed to ****** off Cassandra bad enough to see her drunk ( unintentionally I must say, I like her a lot, but it was right after she kicked Varric). Is there still a way for us to come out as besties here or will she hate me forever more :(

You must tell me how you did this, lol. Did you side with the mages and wardens both?

Also, have you already completed her mage hunting mission? That will get disposition up, though I apologize if you already tried since that's be the first thing you'd go for.

Oh, I didn't know about that conversation. Well maybe not tied down, but think of all the work she may get as a divine. She would barely be able to spend time with the inquisitor. I would understand if we would have to go our separate ways. Sacrificing things tends to come with big responsibilities of an important "job." Like the surgeon spending less time with his/her family, because he/she is on call all the time. The surgeon still loves their family, but in order to keep the family supported, they must be willing to do the time and work.
But Cassandra will only have the eyes of Thedas :P. She'll need to do the work in order to support the inquisition. Oh boy I lost myself with that example. I should go... to sleep.

This is worst than a surgeon though. it really seems.. over. And the surgeon does it by choice. Here, you defeat Corypheus but in the end the Chantry kicks your ass. :P

Let me guess, you chose most of the dialogue options from the beginning that pissed her off and then allied with the mages? That drunken scene occurs in Skyhold quite early so you still have time to mend things by being more careful with what you're saying to her and making choices that she agrees with. I'm not sure you'll be able to get her personal quests with such a low approval, but when you regain some and do them they will give you quite an apporval boost.

I haven't even gotten to the wardens just the mages :) That's the horrible part! We were actually doing pretty fine until she started hitting Varric and I intervened. Even in the aftermatch we got talking and I got some approvement too. Then next she asked me to do her personal mission and my response was "we have a lot to do atm, Cassandra"  because  my Inquisitor has no patience for fetch quests and likes to stay focussed..( which is why I use the cheat engine for resources this time, I have no time to pick flowers..) She disapproved greatly although my quizzie didn't even say it in a rude way and marked the stuff on my map anyway. Next click on her and she is yelling at me with a bottle :)  I still treated her nice enough and got a little approval during that convo. So here's to hoping that she just had a rough day and all will be well in the morning!

Interesting. I don't think I'll ever see this..

I heard she also gets really paranoid if you have low approval. I feel sorry for this version of Cass.. because it's her fault for inviting this "Herald" in.

For me the ending lacked any emotional punch, in fact it was rather underwhelming and I was really bitter about the whole lackluster final fight. So Cassandra becoming Divine and my Inquisitor saying that they still have some time added some much needed impact and I really loved it. And now I wouldn't have it any other way.

All I see is Wuthering Heights in the making. It's a classic story about being split from love, for no reason or fault of your own.

My Inquisitior would end up dark and all raging, like (Bane)Tom Hardy's version of Heathcliff. Or at least, I find this kind of funny.
