I think the Mage mission sounds interesting.
Its just sucks that you have to let Barris die in the process.
But I'm getting a bit bored by the fade sequence in Champions of the Just tbh.

I've only played it twice.. so I can do it one more time. Barris is definitely cool too.

Yeah, Barris is the biggest loss for conscripting the mages. Followed by Calpernia. In exchange you get the Disgraced Magister and the Inquisition pique's the interest of the Imperium.

Alexius and his son seem interesting. And more time with Dorian is never bad either.
No Calpernia is annoying, but I like Samson from what I have seen.
Doesn't matter. And Cory's backstory is gimped.
Does the backstory actually impact anything? Like dialogue with Cory?
Because otherwise I can just meta-game it. I already know his background.

Sucks that Samson's execution doesn't carry over... or does it?
I love the look on his face in DA2 when you turn him in to Cullen.
No. And you got some fucked up tastes if you like Samson more than Calpernia, tbh, bro.
I didn't say I like Samson more than Calpernia.
I said that the lack of Calpernia is annoying. I worded it wrong.

Cory is a gimped boss in general, very forgettable. Even Architect would have been more interesting.

I like the idea of Cory. His main MO and such. It blends well with this story.. the architect is almost like a mad scientist child, who doesn't know who he is.
Ah. Actually I see it now, my bad.I didn't say I like Samson more than Calpernia.

The idea was fine, execution was not, devs could have fleshed him out more. I didn't feel anything in particular about that boss, maybe because what he was doing wasn't personal to Inquisitor, he was just...out there doing evil stuff. What I wouldn't give for a villain like Irenicus, now that guy could get under everyone's skin and make them suffer.
But I suppose Dragon Age series in general can't boast how great their villains are, they always seem to be in the background of everything else that's going on these games.

Was Loghain a villain? Because he's badass.
Or maybe he's a hero? ![]()
edit: He's still in the background though. I know what you mean,.

Loghain is a fallen hero that also happens to be the antagonist of Origins. Which is why he is such a damn compelling character. It also helps that his badassery is Batman-esque.

He was ambiguously grey. Some ppl see him as hero, some as villain. He was definetly interesting in a Game of Thrones kind of way, too bad Dragon Age veered away from GoT themes afer Origins. But was he the real villain? I thought it was the Archdemon, who was a total linebacker.
Loghain is Loghain, and doesn't give a **** about how you label him.
Which is fortunate, since he's dead in my playthroughs, lol.

The lack of Calpernia is one of the reasons i cant do the mage quest anymore, i enjoy fighting the Venatori much more than the red templars.

True enough. I like how Solas views that whole Ostagar scene.
"It is the fade. It's all true."
On top of loghain you've got the Arishok as well , i thought he was an awesome " Villain ", not even sure villain is a good way to describe him though since he had cause for how he acted.

Now that's a Qunari. Maybe one day they'll look that boss again.

.I wish you didnt have to side against him in the DA II , he is that awesome

I felt sorry for him in a way. He's out of his element, back pushed against a wall, with a mentality that ultimately is only fit to fight.

Yea, because of that i let him take Isabela a couple of times lol. I wonder how the Arishok would react to the Iron Bull, i dont think he'd like him much.
Temple of Dumat with that captured scholar was really cool. But I didn't get that far in the playthrough where I sided with mages, so I don't know what's the deal with this Samson guy. Or is it the same?
