Inquisitor steps down, Cullen takes his position, but goes mad either because of lyrium withdrawal or inability to drop the habit and unleashes hell upon the world of Thedas.

The reaction from the Cullenites would be so worth it when they realize we have to kill Cullen.

About as hilarious as the Solas one when they simply found out Solas was sad when he dumps their lavellans, LOL.

I know. But it's Cass' shield. And the Champions of the Just is good. It's just that it and the epilogue that follows doesn't fit my world state. And even though my mages are usually non-rebel Lucrosian/Aequitarian they still sympathize with the rebel plight so he couldn't ditch them to Fiona's incompetent bumbling. The ones that did side with the Templars recruited them with the motivation of rescuing the mages in Redcliffe as well.
So what is your world state exactly that makes it so the templar path doesn't fit? I know that the world state for my canon playthrough is part of the reason why I prefer the templar route. Because after spending the entire last game seeing them being deconstructed and having the worst of them being shown, culminating with Hawke defending them from Meredith's unjust annulment. And while I aware that the mages gets hit hard with the villain bat as well, I feel that their actions were often done in response to the templars tighter and tighter grip. Come DA3 and the deck feels heavily stacked against the templars, which is why I am thankfull that the game actually gives you the opportunity to reconstruct the order into what it was originally meant to be. The tyrannical and insane Meredith is replaced by Ser Barris, the almost quintessential knight in shining armor. Instead of DA2s templar death squads who kills anyone associated with mages, we have war table missions in which mages are saved from lynch mobs and towns protected from demons. If you recruit the mages instead, that's a side you never truly get to see. Now you might argue the reverse is true if you recruit the templars instead, but I have already seen the mages prove their worth back in DA1 by helping the warden stop the blight in Denerim. The mages have already helped save the world once in the story already, let the templars have their hour as well. And in the end, all divine endings result in more mage rights, so even if the rebellion ends somewhat inglorious, parts of its core ideals still stand vindicated no matter what.
I think the Mage mission sounds interesting.
Its just sucks that you have to let Barris die in the process.
But I'm getting a bit bored by the fade sequence in Champions of the Just tbh.
To be fair, play any mission enough and it can start to feel repetitive.

What rubbed me the wrong way is the unrealistic amount of Venatori on that path. Red templars at least were a big enough force to form an army that didn't just come out of nowhere without anyone in Ferelden noticing.
A large portion of those Venatori were the rebel mages. The army was already there.

He thinks Jedi mages are worth being crazy. Even though there is literally no proof what this new school will actually do or if they will ever be combatants.

Undoing a timeline where Leliana actually dies and stays dead. It's worth ending the world. Not because I hate her that much, but simply because it would mean the end of all things.

Don't play, homie.
After see her Divine ending she solidified my need to destroy her. Might just let Alexius kill me to get the ending slide.
Uh huh...
Fun fact: Not agreeing with you or Solas does not mean that I think mages will turn into abominations on a whim.

At least the College of Enchanters with Fiona have a mission plan: find new solutions to age old problems (probably magic solutions)

College of Anarchists is a joke. They rebel and rebel and rebel. The only way those fuckers stand down is if a Mage Inquisitor says 'No.' or they get wiped out after Calpernia brainwashes them.

On topic, which is better: Cassandra using a Two-Handed Weapon or a Weapon and Shield?
The Inquisitor I'm playing as is a Warrior using Weapon and Shield so I set Cassandra to Two-Handed Weapon for an even split. (Female) Inquisitor and Blackwall use Weapon and Shield, Cassandra and Iron Bull use Two-Handed Weapon.

sword and board all the way. Two handed doesn't fit Cassandra as a character at all. Two handed is pure offense oriented. Cassandra strikes me more as both offense AND defense combined. A protector. A dark knight.

Yeah, mages who've been sheltered their entire lives... with no oversight what so ever. That's gonna end up working really well.
