....I was more of a Mitchell fan but this does bring to mind I think Sarcastic Hawke was based off of Jack.  lol.  They are both sarcastic sleezeballs that would make light of any situation.

In DAI specifically though, I might just call them the last-minute-money-grab race. "Lets see how many more people we can squeeze in here, regardless of how stupid it looks."

And when you're given ssoooo little to work with as a character, there's barely anything left but the most shallowest reasonings for that choice. Elves and humans are already shallow enough in backstory as it is, let alone the heavy metal cover models.

He didn't mean that entirely. He said he was iffy at first about Qunari relationships, because the Qun was so problematic for many fans. But he was equally uncomfortable with including the race on it's own.. because he knew it'd revolve around appearances.. and invite fetishists.

Ah I see.  Well, that second part is kind of pointless considering Mass Effect exists.  That kind of stuff is unavoidable.  Gaider needs to worry less about that.

Its something that is good to worry about from a writer.  Its kind of like a father worrying his kid will be taken advantage of...but it is also unavoidable so there really is not much he can do.

Touching moment when Cole found Cassandra's pendant in banter. I like the growth in relationship between those two. Cassandra seems to let her guard down a lot when she's talking to him. I wonder if she reminds him of Evangeline.
