Hey, Mass Effect is dead to me TOO!!  You're alright in my book, even if you do hate Qunari!

Spoiler

heh.. fair enough..

Really, I'm not entirely against Qunari. A lot of it is interesting. I'm only talking ****, because I don't like the Cass pairing. Since we're doing the "bro" thing for now, I'll talk simply as just a flesh and blood man. I don't want to see women with crazy **** like this. I love women too much.

Rule 34 is pretty deep. :P

Bowels of the internet, along with 4chan, which goes hand in hand.

Cassandra was not going to be my first choice for a love interest, or a choice at all.

But then as I went through her dialogue, I started to respect her and see her in a better light. So I rerolled my character just to start over so I could start a romance with her rather than Josie.

Later I realized what a cold b**** she could be, since of all the virtues she carries, forgiveness isn't one of them. But I can understand that, and accept her all the same.

"Yeah, I allied with the mages. What of it?"

"Yeah, I allowed the Wardens to stay. What of it?"

"Yeah, I forgave Blackwall. What of it?"

Not like she could put me in the dog house since it's my house. But really, a very well done character, one I grew to love and respect.

Even if she tried to kill my bro Varric.

The stand in Jack? He's fine enough but no one can ever replace the badassery of Jack's neutral face.

Teal'C: Indeed.

Jack is best SG-1 leader. Ben Browder is a good actor, but I liked him better as John Crichton on Farscape.

Touching moment when Cole found Cassandra's pendant in banter. I like the growth in relationship between those two. Cassandra seems to let her guard down a lot when she's talking to him. I wonder if she reminds him of Evangeline.

It's a bit jarring to have their relationship develop into a big sister, weird little brother dynamic in the banter and then have her tell the Inquisitor that he should order him to leave when you talk to her.

Also, I've found that if you have higher approval with Cassandra before starting the second conversation with her she doesn't disapprove of the "Is there anything wrong with us getting closer?" flirt. Doing a couple quests that help the refugees in the Hinterlands seems to do raise it enough.

Yea that kind of throws everything off, but I know those lines stay the same all the time. At the end of the day, the big sister/little brother is their true relationship in my eyes. I'm only halfway through the game, so I'm looking forward to more of their banter. I'm starting to see the little family instead of companions, well Vivienne seems to always want Cassandra to grab the power when she has the chance to. I guess that could be like the step-mother/daughter relationship, if I'm sticking to the family theme.

D: I barely started the first drafts. Seriously, I can't find any fanfic post ending with Male Trevelyan x Cassandra, at least not in FF.Net. It's killing me, I need some fluff goddamnit! Alright, I'll do it myself.

There actually is a fanfic I've read about Cassandra and knitting:

http://archiveofouro...g/works/2705558

The archive of our own has some decent fics that Ff.net doesn't have. Still not many m!inquisitor/Cass fics, but I don't find that all that upsetting, since most m!inquisitor/Cass fics I've read are badly written Gary Sues and/or badly written smut.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of smut in small doses, but when the entire fic is smut? Meh.

Don't know how you folks do it. Could never get into fan fic. Well, at least not when the characters are already fleshed out like in DA.

I've always been a reader. When I was growing up, the dinner table was mostly silent because we all brought books or magazines with us to read. I'll read the back of a cereal box.

And I'll agree and disagree with you when you say the characters are fleshed out--they are, somewhat, at least enough to feel a connection, but there's plenty of scope for more, especially with Cassandra.

It's easy, I write for myself, and if a few others like it, then good. If not, so be it. It's fun.

I don't feel the need to know 100% of the character' personal lives, tbh. S'creepy. Fanfiction usually accomplishes 3 things, being weird, being erotica, or making me sigh periodically. The last one usually happens regardless.   I'm not going to surf through the internets to find the three that aren't.

Maker's Breath think of the coincedence!

I think it depends on the fan fic personally.  There is a lot of really bad stuff out there...my favorite example was one where Kirk and Spock...who seemed to be in a gay trist relationship but yet acted really...teenaged about it...with McCoy..stumbled upon the internet.  *gets haughty look* I try and write intelligent fan fiction.

I can agree with this though that is probably intentional on BioWare's part and part of their charm, always keep them coming back for more.
