I won't lie. She physically looks like how I envisioned Sam would look like in Dragon Age.
Yeah, i mean don't get me wrong i liked Sam.. But my attraction is big towards Cass and Viv. I'm at least hoping one of them will be f/f romance.

i really didnt care for traynor myself... i liked the chick we had in me2, but because she could die, it really didnt hold up
I liked Kelly more too
She could have died but So could Doctor Chakwas and we still had an option for her but Kelly was more shaken up about the whole watching people melt thing.
I still think Traynor and Kelly are interchangeable
A question to the lore experts, would the Chantry tolerate homosexuality? If it was like our real life catholicism (which seems to be inspired on), that would not be the case.
And then, it would not make any sense for her to be other than straight, since she is not a renegade chantry member (or a "non-practicant" IRL), but a fierce and loyal member of the Chantry.
Does anyone know?
I would not get my hopes up for a f/f romance there... I think Sera and Scribbles will be the 2 f/f options.
Sexuality is not considered a big deal in Thedas. Chantry included.
What Azarhal said.
The same applies to Orlais and other nations as well. They're not supposed to be a precise representation of actual medieval kingdoms like France or England.
Just because the Chantry is inspired by Christianity doesn't mean it literally copies it's beliefs and dogma.
It actually is just a basic large organized religion:
-Has a God
-Has an evil force (old gods?)
-Has a religious text (the chant of light)
I just finished re-reading Asunder and it left me confused about a couple things with Cassandra. Did the end of DA2 happen before or after the epilogue of Asunder?
It seems weird for Cassandra, as a Seeker, to be teamed up with Leliana if it was after Asunder - but the timeline on the official website says that some of the Templars and Seekers remained loyal to the Chantry - so I guess it all makes sense if Cassandra was just one of the Seekers to remain loyal?
The end of DA2 is set after the epilogue of Asunder (World of Thedas timeline).
According to the official DAI website, Cassandra was sent to Kirkwall right after the Nevarran Accord was broken (but before Lambert was declared MIA). She is a loyal Seeker, but how she sees her loyalty might be totally different than how you interpret it.

Ah, thanks. Tho that's a bit cryptic and confusing. I mainly just figured she has to be loyal to the Divine for Lelianna to be with her.
She's Right Hand of the Divine, so she might not exactly fit into the usual Seeker hierarchy. If Lambert's faction have been branded renegades and the top Chantry brass are killed by the blast at the Temple of Sacred Ashes then there's no one there to differentiate between loyalist and renegade factions.I just finished re-reading Asunder and it left me confused about a couple things with Cassandra. True, but I remember David Gaider stating once on his blog that Chantry was basically Bioware asking themselves what would Christianity look like if it was founded by Joan of Arc instead of Jesus.

You liked her so much you can't even remember her name. ![]()
Kelly kinda creeped me out to be honest.. I like Traynor alot better, even though she clearly were just around to have a s/s female romance.

She wasn't just around for that. She was more helpful at finding things out than Liara the Shadow Broker. ![]()

Cullen mentioned in DA2 that people would rather turn away a Templar than help them, and with the Nevarran Accord broken and Red Templars running amok people might be actively hunting them down.
Has it been confirmed who the Red Templars are? I assume they are all the Templar that broke away from the Chantry and are resorting to red lyrium to feed their power/addictions.
Also, wasn't Cassandra the hand of the old Divine? I wouldn't think that would stick with the current Divine, unless she also prooved herself to her somehow.
Aww. Poor Liara...
It's true though. Nothing against Liara, just Samantha helped find more important information.
Judging from what I've heard, the Imperial Chantry has more of a problem with homosexuality than the regular Chantry.
I don't think so. Same sex relationships between magisters/nobles are frowned upon but aside from that they really don't care, and in fact encourage it with slaves.
I don't think the Imperial Chantry has anything to do with it at all, just a cultural notion of "Powerful mages should be producing powerful mage children and indulging in other things with slaves, not other magisters".

So that she could have more 'plot' and seem 'important'. Liara should've done most of the things Sam did. But instead she became a joke in ME3.

Oh i loved Liara too. I just hated the treatment she got in ME3. She became a joke all of sudden, didn't do that much (only with the Crucible thing) and hell, everyone found out she was the Shadow Broker.
Almost made me think Sam was the SB and not Liara. ![]()

I liked her too, but they pretty much made her useless as the SB
