lol.. I'm not supporting it. I'm just saying.. it's like the stuff Bane uses or something. It can make anyone a super villain.
A Death's Hand he was not.
Thanks for reminding me of no Jade Empire 2

I'd welcome that. I built a Keep version of the HoF who's a straight up bastard already. I want my Inquisitor to fight him.
I could have bought Samson being the leader of a red templar outpost somewhere, perhaps the boss for the Emprise De Lion zone (Freeing Imshael for something else later), but having him be the big bad's second in command? I chuckled at Haven when I heard Cullen be all worried when he explained that it was Samson leading them.
Atleast with Calpernia we are dealing with an entirely new character, so I am far more willing to believe she had leadership material in her. More than Samson at any rate.
Would've been awesome if the companions had nemesis quests from it too
Though Cassandra's would probably had been the Lord Seekers
Speaking of...
Lord Seeker Lucius, dumbest Bioware villain since the catalyst?

I like the Envy demon quite a bit.. the points being made in the quest at least.. Lucius is just a mask.
edit: Thing is, he realizes Lucius sucks too. lol. That's why he wants to be the Herald.

I like Envy too, but it's not Envy I am talking about, I mean the real Lucius you find on Cassandra's personal mission.

That was... weird. And not the good kind. What kind of rationale leads someone to joining their mortal enemies? I understand being sour about the revelations of your order. You take a ****** sabbatical and assess the situation. You don't jump off the slippery slope into villainy for the LOLS.
If you find something terrible, avoid it. That's rather elementary.

I don't want to be that guy, well that's a lie I love being that guy; I'm that guy all the ****** time. I'm that guy 24/7, but you do realize I said this is why I don't read fanfiction and do not care for it, but at the same time saying I don't care if others do? Just checking.

Exactly. There's quite a leap from becoming disheartened with your order to willingly be an accomplish in mass-murder, treason and trying to bring about the end of the world. I think my old post sums it up.
I found the Lord Seeker to be even worse than what we saw in DA2.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this the gist of his character?
Lucius inherits the title of Lord Seeker from the now deceased Lambert and with it the book. He reads it and finds out about some of the dark secrets the Seekers withheld and becomes disheartened about the organization. But instead of using his power as the Lord Seeker to reform them and the templars as he sees fit, he instead decides to...
- willingly let an envy demon who plans to corrupt the templars copycat him
- join a doomsday cult
- work with Cory
- Systematically send his comrade in arms to their death in a trap
I find that even more baffling than First Enchanter "I'mma turn into a flesh monster and betray my friends" Orsino.

When you put it like that it's hard not to ROFLMAO.
Honestly, they should have just had envy take his identity and leave it at that.

This was hilarious.

Pretty much, have us stumble upon his corpse alongside the book in a cell and have it revealed the order of fiery promise captured him so Envy could study him would have been much better.

I actually had the impression that Lucius might was a Promiser that infiltrated the Seekers.
What was the point of giving Cassandra the book despite trying to kill her right away before she gets to read it? What was the point of the Promisers anyway?

I think he was hoping she'd drop her blade and give up for the chance to read first. Still stupid though, lol.

Actually Lucius was trying to recruit Cassandra and she said **** this and unsheathed her sword and cut his ass up.
Ah, good to know I'm not the only one who was baffled by the whole situation.
Lucius was good "Yo dawg *insert meme here*" material.
Yea I agree with everything you said. I also like how she isn't that typical woman that needs to be swept off her feet. She fights at your side as your equal and would take on anything that stands in the inquisition way.
Yeah. As you already acknowledged in another post of course she does want to be swept off her feet but I get what you are saying.. she is not high maintenance -- when she is in love she is in love it's the falling part where she wanted to be caught and my Inquisitor did just that.
I even tried the option where you can break up mid-way through the sex/love scene.... LOLLLL just to see, I felt horrible and reloaded of course... it was only to see! But yeah, overall the Cassandra romance really feels like a romance/relationship in this game. It honestly reminds me of Jack from Mass Effect and how she is. Sure their personalities are different yet similar..but the overall romance just has that feel to me. ---- Which is absolutely a great thing imo. My two fav romances in all of gaming history followed by Liara with femshep. Eehhh before Tali fans go crazy... I felt slighted going with Tali due to the whole mask thing --- you'd have thought by ME3 they'd give a real cinematic cutscene where you can have a nice look at her without a mask but nope... of course not. LOL
Back on track: Cassandra's character is just awesome. I recently watched "Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker" on Hulu Plus and wow, I actually liked it. I notice some complain she seems a bit rogue-ish there however she did use 1h/shield for a bit while training and was more of a warrior with rogue-like quick reactions. It is suiting afterall for the Hero of Orlais. I highly recommend that for any who like her character and have yet to see it. You also get to see the mage she cared for who died at the conclave and how she became the right hand of the Divine in the first place.
You can see how passionate she is in everything she does and that's what I find even more special about the romance with the Inquisitor.. she says the Inquisitor is unlike anyone she has ever known and makes it clear that she's never felt like this before, showing just how hard in love she has fallen and how she will never let go. It's very deep, I replayed that part a few times trying the different dialogue options and I will say I am very impressed.
