I honestly roll my eyes when Cass mentions wanting hawke for inquisitor. It's the only time I ever question her judgement, and I feel it's forced on her, poor girl.

Must be to be that upset over such a loser when you've got a successful one right there. I guess she just thought she could have prevented the conclave disaster. Varric was right though. He'd probably just be dead too.

She says she doesn't regret how things turned out and meeting you instead. So simmer down. ![]()
I know Varric's relation to her improves, but he's still a little punk. I don't like him as much in this game.

Whoa whoa relax bartrand if it werent for Hawke you'd be dead
....on a serious note i can see why you'd be bothered if you didnt think much of Hawke lol , i like Hawke which is why i shrugged it off but the melodrama was real however , didnt need it.

Varric's reaction at first is justified , as much as i love Cassandra i wouldnt be pleased if someone had dragged me around the world as a prisoner but naturally he gets over it and genuinely cares for her later on.

Heh, well if it's any consolation, I liked him more in DA I ![]()
I never hated hawke like everyone else, but he really hasn't done much of anything... Just watched a city crumble more or less. I mean, without the mark on our hands, we couldn't have done much to be inquisitor either, so. There's that.

The reason people hate Hawke seem to be why i like him , he isnt your typical bad ass hero always ahead of the situation , he is just a normal guy trying to make the best out of a shitty situation.

Same here actually.
But, the thing is, that doesn't transfer well for a leadership role. At most, he can say he tried his best, but his best didn't cut it.
Granted, that wasn't at all his fault, (well, some things were rather stupid of him, like not killing petrice I think her name was.) but if he tried applying for a job and put that on his resume for inquisitor...

Yea, I'd undestand that if Hawke sided with the templars, but wanting an apostate rebel mage Hawke as Inquisitor is just beyond me. Although the reason for Hawke to leave Kirkwall if he sided with the templars is just as stupid - ran away because of a bunch of crazy templars? Hawke was a viscount, had city guards for protection and could fend for himself, I mean, Hawke did kill a bloody Arishok in single combat.
So Hawke is either a criminal element or a coward, why was he\she even an option for Inquisitor role? The only explanation I can give - the Divine digged Varric's book too much (there's even a revelation about that between Cass, Vivienne and Varric - apparently, the Divine wanted Varric to autograph it in person) ![]()

Yea i wish we could kill Petrice earlier on but Bioware really took things out of hands , regarding him being the Inquisitor , i honesty have no doubt that he would done the job had he been given the Anchor.

Well to be fair if people could accept a Qunari seerabas as the Inquisitor then mage Hawke shouldnt have too much problem. Cassandra does point out that Hawke would have probably refused anyways because he sided with the mages.

You can pretty much justify anything now that that much is true. It's not even an interesting Qunari, and yet... "Messiah!!!"
I try not to think about it. The level of immersion break hurts too much.

Another reason why i thought that having Hawke would have been nice is his first interactions with Cassandra, she thought he was guilty of a lot of crap , imagine if he was also the only suspect of the Conclave's destruction LOL Cassandra would have roughed him up way more than she did the Inquisitor.

ROFL , true , they 've really messed up on the whole Qunari business.

Qunari Inquisitior is ridiculous. It's just a blatant fanservice for those who dig it, nothing else.

So? Hawke only became Viscount with the Templars support, and they out number the guard. Seriously overestimating Hawke's capabilities..

It's really Justinia that wants Hawke, I think. Cass is following suit. I suppose by the end of Varric's story, she sees why Hawke was wanted.. and tells her reasons. That he/she is needed for peace (and clout with one of the factions).

Ngl, mine would probably sass everyone and not take anything seriously. ![]()
But honestly i can't see mine becoming the inquisitor mainly because mine can't be a leader, she's a free spirit and goes from place to place for help, and reunite with Izzy sometimes (
).
I gotta say, the scene with Varric and Cassandra wondering where Hawke is (if you leave her in the fade, nope not doing that nnoPE) is hearbreaking.

Nope, I'd never leave Hawke there. I love that game. That's why waited for DAI... I guess some people bought this because they hated DA2? Go figure.
Anyways.. my current playthrough will have Loghain vs Hawke. Don't think I'll hesitate to throw Loghain under the bus.
