I gotta say, the scene with Varric and Cassandra wondering where Hawke is (if you leave her in the fade, nope not doing that nnoPE) is hearbreaking.

It's a good thing I'll never experience that - my canon has Alistair as king, so I have no problem with choosing minor npc Stroud over Hawke.

The heartbreak ends the relationship, not idea what she says I never had the heart to make Cassandra sad. I almost have heart attacks when I see Cassandra's disapprove actually.

The inquisitor says "If you're Divine, then there is no room for us" to which she responds "I wish it were otherwise". The only other difference is the "I could be named Divine any day soon & you will be pulled in a hundred different directions." & the rest of the romance ending is the same.

I chose the "I'm happy for you" option where the inquisitor says something like "That's wonderful news, you will make an excellent Divine" & Cass responds "I'm glad you believe so"

An ignorant inquisitor is a happy inquisitor!  Play it cool & remain in Denial  :police:

The reason's I elected Cassandra for the position is IMO because this is the greatest opportunity for her to kick ass take names & reform southern Thedas in her image, which I trust because she has a good heart & Balls of Steel.

Also because it ads some drama to the Romance, where duty & religion comes between two people who love each other.

Will they continue their relationship in secret?

Will they be together some day when duty no longer separates them & the world no longer needs them?

Or will they throw themselves at whatever world ending problem demands their attention next so they can't pine too long over their lost love, less these thoughts turn them bitter at the world they gave up their happiness to serve?

Think of the Potential! Think of the Feels!

Whatever happens, I'm going down with this ship  :police:

Besides, even if the Inquisitor convinced Cassandra to not become Divine, I think that would create a wedge between them that would never be spoken of aloud but it would be present. Probably some resentment.

How? The Inquisitor isn't the one who chose the Divine

The inquisitor is basically the one who chooses the divine.  Whoever the Inquisitor supports becomes the Divine in the game.

Wrong. It's entirely possible to support a candidate and wind up with someone else. For instance, you can fully support Cass as divine and wind up getting Vivienne as divine.

Because she still knows which candidate the Inquisitor supports. The disapproval that flashes on screen isn't just for show. You're saying that you don't agree with what she wants to do with her life, which is insulting.

Personalized art the quality you're thinking about would actually have to be priced a lot HIGHER in my books. Just saying that is. :)

Also old-ish cassandra art. This was the first time I ever drew her. Haha.

That actually not bad. Very stylistic.
Something about the way you rendered her face reminds me of Olivia Thirlby.

Sigh. I hate all of you, lol. There really is no perfect choice. Which I like and hate, lol.

Who cares about the perfect choice for Divine? This is about why Cassandra would probably not like the Inquisitor not supporting her to be Divine.

Yea I know? I'm reading the thread. I meant perfect choice (support or not to support) in relation to her happiness with you. I think I'd rather her go away and love me to death forever than to be with me and resent me for the rest of her life.

Cassandra shouldn't be Divine.

Nor should the other two choices.

Honestly why not just rip that bit of the game out, it's nonsensical anyway.

Or simply that you limit her.

I never got disapproval from Cass for throwing support to Leliana, or Viv. People are reading too much into this as well.

Leliana makes perfect sense.

Well I definitely did. And there is no reading too much into anything. People don't like when you don't support them.

And no, Leliana makes no sense as Divine.

Well, I got Vivienne on my first playthrough even though I supported Cassandra, though I did so reluctantly. No disapproval, so maybe that's the secret.

You got Vivienne instead because you had too many decisions she agreed with for your support to have any impact on another character. I'm not going to do that.

Maybe to you. To me, Leliana is the perfect divine and it makes sense for her story.

I think mother Giselle should be Divine.

Yea, why the hell wasn't that an option. Seems the most sensible to me.
