When has Bioware ever made it so that ambigous choices backfire? Everyone thought doing the dark ritual would backfire but so far nothing bad happens. Everyone thought letting Varric keep the red lyrium shard and that didn't backfire. I doubt Bioware is going to make the free mages ending backfire, and I'll laugh at all the paranoid fear-mongers when that happens. I also doubt letting the architect live is going to backfire

Well Bioware hasn't yet. I can't wait to see the butthurt comments if/when Leliana's reforms wind up not backfiring or she winds up doing even better than Cass or Vivienne.

I don't think even Anders knew what he wanted. One second mages should be protected by the law, the other mages should police themselves. One second everyone has a right to freedom, the next "ypee, let's sell Fenris into slavery."

Which would be absolute bs. Because then why include choices at all, if one is absolutely superior in everything. Every choice should have it's pros and cons.

All those phrases and Solas trying to convince me that spirits are people and how aweseome it would've been if the Veil didn't exist, just reeks of this synthesis crap from ME3 ending imo. Which also pretty much began from "synthetics are alive" talk. Ugh, I hope they won't go that route.

Bhelen and Harrowmont are completely lopsided in Bhelen's favor. Even Bhelen is starting to win the moral argument.

The end result is better, I suppose, although I'm hazy on the details here. But in the game Bhelen is rather ambiguous figure, which is why you may not want to side with him. I know my Warden didn't, because he seemed like the guy who would screw you over.
