I think the main thing that annoys me about Qunari is just being so random. She (and the story) deserves better than random. If they had put more effort into it, it might come off better.

Would you had prefer Cassandra to be one of the rate gated? And yea the story had been a little better for the other races, but I can't really complain. At least there are some reaction to the races, unlike origins.

Not exactly. It doesn't fit the character. I expect better writing. And better roleplaying from people. And better designs in general, if you're going to pair them with someone as gorgeous as Cass. Might as well pair her with an ape now.

I actually deleted a character because I didn't think he looked good enough for Lady Pentaghast. I'm turning into one of those people that think the romance is equal to the story. Before Inquisition, I was just like romance is a side content, and story would always come first in my eyes.  :P

*cue melodramatic piano music* as the Herald jumps in a mist of green light

Put it this way, after her response to the Inquisitor going through the Abyssal Rift and drinking from the Well of Sorrows I'm pretty sure Cass would reconstitute the Inquisitor's sorry ass so she can give them a piece of her mind.

She's lost pretty much everyone she's ever cared about in a number of horrible ways, I'm not mean enough to take the Inquisitor away from her.

But she's apparently mean enough to dump the poor Inquisitor :crying:

:/ Cassandra should be firmer in belief.

It's what I wished to do.

To remind her of Faith, Duty

Of the conviction to do what must be done.

To live up to what Byron, Lambert even Lucius saw in her.

Maybe she shouldn't try to live up the expectations of a guy like Lucius.  He... He was kind of a dick.

So I was thinking that my next play-through would be a human mage necromancer, because necromancy has always been my favorite fantasy universe class. Plus, I've always favored the Rhys and Evangeline relationship, so I wanted to remake that with Lady Pentaghast. Does Cassandra have anything bad to say about the necromancer inquisitor? I know she doesn't feel that strongly about her uncle who practices in that kind of magic.

We only saw the corrupted mockery he turned into.

Not what Cassandra saw.

I believe she compares him to her uncle and it generally is a party wide approval hit going nercomancer.

David Gaider likes to break things. That's like his MO or something. He's done it to Cass now. At least a little.

He made an observation on how Isabela was one of his favorite characters,  and loved her carefree-ness, but even then, he wanted to test how much he could change that. Break her, but not to the point where she stops being Isabela. I think the comic might've been one small attempt (especially the new revelations on the slaves).

Maybe this is a good thing.. I don't know.

I'm still interested on whether Bioware will address this lingering plot point.  DOES Cassandra dump the Inquisitor if she becomes Divine?  Knowing Gaider, my guess is yes.  But I'm hoping it isn't so.  Either way, I am metagaming the **** out that so she doesn't become Divine ever again.  So it matters little to me.

True, maybe he was a decent guy once.  But, when I met him, he'd helped butcher most of the Seekers and wanted to burn the world.  So, first impressions kind of skew my perception of who he used to be.

First impression being "Wow, this guy is a bit of a dick."

And people accused me of lying when I said Isabela was an author's pet.  There was no way in hell Isabela would get killed off or mind-probed after getting captured by the qunari in Kirkwall.

Considering his codex says that he was a moderate who supported peace with mages, I'd say you wouldn't have liked him anyway.

Well, I'll still make her become Divine. She obviously wants to use this chance to make things better. But the fact that only the Inquisitor can initiate final break up and If he doesn't, her tarot card remains the same, gives me some hope.

o.o honestly though... Cassandra nearly lived up to expectations.

That's more then I can say for the game itself...even if I couldn't twist her into a lawful evil Lord Seeker like I hoped.

I was holding out that I could reassert her distrust, her old anger.

Give her the razor edge she'd need to not only establish order but to enforce it.

That's Vivienne.. if you want someone who doesn't falter. Cass is beautiful for other reasons.. much moreso imo.. But Chantry wise, it's Vivienne.

"You know what must be done, my dear.."

Cass' strongest beliefs at the moment are in the Herald. And her compassion. Both which can be open to abuse or being used.

And I'll get ridiculed for this, but even Sera to a point. The fact that she puts an ultimatum to a Dalish elf's beliefs... that's awesome.

I just wanted to break her and turn her into an instrument of my will alas...

Which reminds me.

"Darkness closes in. Will you stand against it, or lead this world to it's bitter end".

But you can do nothing of the sort. No really evil options are available.
