LOL you don't gotta leave. I said it before, and I'll say it again, Qunari race is a fetish race.

 

But really, I just want to talk about Cass. If someone has a pairing I don't personally prefer, I simply ignore the post. Usually.

 

But the number 1 thing people outside of the thread has said is the place feels like a boy's club, and that means a lot of other people who could contribute to the thread and make it fun don't want to come in here because of all the chest thumping and whatnot over nothing. The arguing's not gonna get rid of em for this game, and Bioware will do what they want in the next. If people do think arguing over it can make the change they desire, then we should make a completely new thread for said war.

 

But damn, out of all the support threads in the board, this one's the most boring one. And it's certainly not Lady Cassandra's fault, but ours.

I don't think it's the most boring one. Cassandra's fans are just tough like her. I prefer to only talk about Lady Pentaghast also. I barely even see the Vivienne's fan thread.

Good point. We're at least active, so there's that, lol. I do love my viv but can't work up as much enthusiasm for her.

Maybe I should browse the other fan threads just to see how they are operating. I pretty much stay in here and the dwarf's fan thread these days.

The bolded part actually feels true to me. Haha. And also the chest thumping. There was a time when I went into the thread and had to roll my eyes because really guys, do you really have to do all those chest thumping??.......... (Also, surprise! I'm a girl, so the boy's club feel really discouraged me from posting back then. Hahahahahaha.)

I still don't understand how the collar can be on top of the red surcoat. It's like she has the weird handmade leather catsuit, the red surcoat and another smaller purple surcoat the same color as the weird handmade leather catsuit.

So I did the scene today where Cassandra and the Inquisitor commits, and a friend of mine just did the same scene.  She had a very different view of it.  Finding it a bit on the...poor writing, cliche, that it was very steretypical for a woman to want poetry and candlelight dinners.  Now, I have had a very different view of it.  I liked it.  I thought it was interesting because I got the 'it always looks greener on the other side of the fence.'  She has never had that life, her life being full of pain, duty, and suffering.  So, she wants the ideal.

Personally I liked it. But there was some subtle humor in this conversation and during some other scenes in this romance, which I aslo found great.

It fit the character though, she is an idealist about everything. She knows she can't have ideals everywhere, but she won't settle for anything else when it comes to herself.

 

It's also why she's so hard on herself: she wants to match up to her ideals.
