Because the world is at war, because he's talking to someone who actually is interested in problem solving, who respects Hawke..

It's better to just talk to this person, instead of lying and letting someone hide... doing jack. That solves nothing.

Hawke wasn't needed until Corypheus showed up though at least IMO so we'll agree to disagree.

Yeah, it's the same all around.

If he was a blood mage in DA2, that's probably just another of Varric's lies. To make him more "sexy" and "suave". With Nutella spread on his face.

He pulled an Emille de Launcet.

Sounds like you're loyal to Varric over Cass.

Kill the heathen! :D

:D  I just don't want to be the "yes" man. Lol only in a perfect world that couples will agree on everything.  :P  :(

Every character has flaws, which draws me more to them. I don't think we would like Lady Pentaghast if  she was perfect in every way. *Cough Josey cough.* Must be something in the air, because I can't stop with all this coughing.  B)

It's not being a yes man though.. This is war. Or was.. it was supposed to be a serious matter. He could learn to drop the b.s. at times like that.

It's Josie, not Josey. If you are going to insult someone, have the decency to spell their name right. Plus Josephine is much better than Cassandra.

Considering if he was friends with my Hawke he'd know my Hawke would want to help, clearly he isn't as good a friend with Hawke either.

No there isn't. He starts one of the main questlines by revealing he is a lying snake by writing Hawke for help.

There isn't a " your " Hawke in Inquisition though, the one ( and only one ) that shows up in this game knows Varric is a friend and has shown as much.

Well before that scene you didn't know he was lying regarding Hawke 's whereabouts so there is no reason to want to kick him out prior to it.

I'm not insulting, "Josie." I have always called her Josey, which is my own nickname for her. She's my favorite advisor, and I working right now to get my inquisition to become a diplomat inquisition.

Josey better than Lady Pentaghast? How exactly?

When things did get serious, Varric came forth with his knowledge of Hawke's location. Corypheus was that serious matter, but before, Cassandra and the inquisition could handle the things they were faced with. Bring in Hawke for the templar/mage situation would had only made things worse.

I only wish Varric gave Cassandra Hawke's location early for selfish reasons... because I wanted to play Hawke again!!!  :( But once again, I'll overlook those selfish reasons for in game personal reasons.

I think it's cool that she has a fan like that.. she doesn't seem to have as many fans.

Speaking for the game as a whole, that's not exactly a good thing.

The only thing that was made worse is that Cassandra felt like an idiot afterwards, and thought she was unworthy to even be in the Inquisition. Justinia herself is the one who sent Cass.. she would have protected Hawke.

But all like most dwarves, everything is just cute or a joke to you (or characters like Varric). Always the rodeo clowns of fantasy.

I think Solas, Cullen, and Dorian has the most fans, if the forums are anything to go by. I know Cassandra is popular on instagram and Facebook.

Well, she did screw up tbh.

Love for stories got the better of her, and she was busy thinking how romantic the fight with Arishok was.

Hey now. We don't know what she could have done. She wouldn't be able to take on the whole world that blamed Hawke for the war. She feels like she doesn't belong because she couldn't stop the rebellion from happening. She knew that it was bad, but did nothing to prevent it from getting worse, not because she couldn't find Hawke.

What? Cute? A joke? I don't see how anything I said led you to that observation, but ok.

Varric's just a good liar.

If she screwed up, so did I. I thought he meant well at the end of DA2, as a player. I was thinking something a helluva lot more complicated happened to Hawke.

Being a big Varric and dwarf fan is already a sign how much you prefer the comedic side of things. I was just hoping you'd go against the type and say something enlightening on how lying is a good thing. But nope..

So anyways. There isn't much more to say on this. Feel free to have the last word.

Ok, now you're just acting as if you won the argument just because you believe your opinion is better. I didn't tought you were this petty.

What are you smoking?

Seriously. I end all arguments that go on for too long like this. All of them. It's when I know it's run it's course, and I'm respectful enough to let the last person say what they will. God knows that things can just go on and on and on and on in circles. Would you prefer it that way? Goddamn.

Now feel free to have the last word ;)

That was not the maker. The Inquisitor touched Corypheus orb and gained to power to close rifts. The Divine shoved you out of the fade to save you. There was no divine intervention whatsoever.

I think Cass would say it is a matter of faith. The fact is that the person who stumbled across the ritual was not a janitor but someone strong enough to lead the Inquisition and defeat Corypheus.

Maybe it was dumb luck, maybe the Inquisitor rose up to the challenge after it was placed on its shoulders or maybe the Maker intervenes more than people give him credit for.

Besides, it was never explained how the Inquisitor and Divine survived the explosion. Did the Anchor automatically activate and transported them to the Fade?

I agree with Cespar on this one. I side with Varric too, at least once, but never completely against him. My Inquisitor is his own man. Cassandra was wrong in this instance, if you ask me.

I know you say you genuinely just agree with her on most things but I know a lot of other people just side with her to keep approval or whatever. I can't do that. If she and I disagreed on everything, then she and I just wouldn't be banging, lol. No Yes Man Inquisitors for me.

She said it was Providence. That God's hand is moving in even the smallest of matters.
