And picking out people who are specifically ill and obviously not normal to give credibility to such a silly comment in relation to torturing someone isn't stupid?
I haven't been paying attention to what anyone else has been saying, whatever the back-and-forth was about pain being or not being "forever" caught my attention. I'm responding to the idea that it isn't forever. In the case of people who suffer from very bad cases of mental illness, it IS indeed "forever", because it's an issue that doesn't fix itself or go away in time like physical pain does (assuming the physical pain isn't from some terminal illness).
What about schizophrenia or depression makes a person "not normal" or means they "lost their marbles"? Someone with schizophrenia doesn't sit around all day listening to voices or talking to people who aren't there like a movie would suggest. They have jobs, spouses, families, etc, like everyone else. Same thing for someone with depression. They don't just sit there and cut themselves all day long and contemplate suicide like a sh*tty TV drama would portray it.
