I remember finding out that Leliana was an f/f option from a leaked Prima Guide image.
 
DA2's 'all bisexual' info came from leaks.

I do distinctly remember reading before the release of DAO that Morrigan was not available for female Wardens, which is why I didn't try to romance her, or read flirts in the dialogue where there were none. But maybe that was a leak too. I will remain hopeful that they will announce the sexualities and that they didn't announce Cullen and Cassandra together because they are the straight options.

Yeah you may be right. I don't remember seeing any announcements on their orientation from the previous games because I am recall being fairly suprised when I saw that Isabela was an option for fem. Hawke. I get it that it's nice to find out more about the character while playing the game, but I wouldn't mind if they gave us this information ahead of time to avoid dissapointment.

I think that was from the PRIMA guide leak too.

 

I remember someone posted screen caps of all 4 options with a guide on how to romance them (and which genders were available).

 

BW themselves released a trailer for each companion before release and the ones for the LI characters included sex scenes with the opposite gender only.

 

I think they released this info on Cullen/Cassandra b/c they are returning characters.  I think Cullen will be bi with Cassandra straight, but we'll see.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think that for both characters?

Hi everyone, sorry if this has already been posted here, but this threat is a bit to long for me to scan throught to find the information, and I haven't posted anything years.I know Cassandra is a confirmed LI, but has there been anything stating whether se will be an LI for a female inquisitor? I know that on her anime, some people mentioned she had a fling with a male character, so I am not sure ( or she could be bi). Thanks for the update

As others have said, nothing has been confirmed, but I'd be surprised if Cassandra was restricted solely to male protagonists. There is an awful lot of (deserved) enthusiasm for her, and if anything, her popularity among female fans is even greater than her popularity among male fans.

 

As for the romantic sub-plot in Dawn of the Seeker, that was really one-sided. Regalyan expressed interest in her, but she did not seem to return it.She kissed him on the cheek and said that he was a good friend, but I wouldn't call that flirtation. That doesn't rule out an interest in men! But it doesn't preclude an interest in women, either.

Marketing has been pushing Cassandra over any other female companion and the company has done similar things in the past with the female LI exclusive to males.

 

Then there's the 'thing' with the dude in the movie.  I never saw the movie and I've heard some say that there's nothing serious between Cassandra and whatshisface but I think BW is aware that there's an fan impression that Cassandra is straight b/c of this.

 

With Cullen...idk...he could be straight too.  I'm just guessing they will have one gay/one straight companion male LI so Cullen will be bisexual by default.  This is assuming a 2/2/2 sexuality distribution.

Yeah I get what you are saying, and that's why I don't think she will be a lesbian, but there is a chance for her to be bi I think. While they do have a tendency of making their poster girl straight, Isabela was bi (granted, all of the LI's were in DA2 and this will not be repeated in DA:I), but it gives me hope lol.

We can't even be Blood Mages, so I think we're safe. Unless the Necro tree has some bits of Blood Magic in it.

Well, we won't be blood mages, so don't worry. I think Bioware just gave up about portraying blood magic and blood mages in any other way that isn't the medieval equivalent of the Dark Side and the Sith.

 

We can't even be Blood Mages, so I think we're safe. Unless the Necro tree has some bits of Blood Magic in it.

 

But Nevarra has necromancers too. Maybe Cassandra will like it!

You aren't the only one. Don't get me wrong! I've never thought Cassandra was unattractive. It's just that her look has evolved with her. In DotS, she was pretty, but she was also fairly generic-looking. In DA2, her features had a lot more personality, but her face was nowhere near as distinctive as it is now. I love, love, LOVE how her present look reflects her individuality. And that's hot.

To be honest I don't care for either look, so I haven't noticed any real difference.
