You aren't the only one. Don't get me wrong! I've never thought Cassandra was unattractive. It's just that her look has evolved with her. In DotS, she was pretty, but she was also fairly generic-looking. In DA2, her features had a lot more personality, but her face was nowhere near as distinctive as it is now. I love, love, LOVE how her present look reflects her individuality. And that's hot.

I completely agree with this,her new look is the perfect portrayal of a battle hardened woman.Everything from her scars to her now more "pronounced" intimidating stare,add more character and individuality to her.I would say that in DAI, she looks more like a warrior,or at least how I expect a female warrior to look like.

Agreed!  Her eyes and hair were nice in DA2 but the rest of her was pretty forgettable.  I love her new makeover because she stands out and has such a striking look... she's not just Cass anymore, now she's Cassandra ****ing Pentaghast.

They never said anything about giving up on blood mages. We just don't have a specific spec for it.

Someone posted a fanart of Sebastian sleeping with Cassandra. So they are going to raze Starkhaven to the ground in response.

A lot of people are taking the lack of blood magic as a specialization as confirmation for it not being in the game. Even though they decided it wasn't going to be a specialization before they even decided whether or not it will be in the game. Although I guess it wouldn't be completely ludicrous for it to be included in necromancy.

I feel like in DA2 she was just a Latina version of Hawke.

cassandra training inquisition soldiers

 

inquisitor shows up, cassandra asks the inquisitor to spar with her while the soldiers watch and learn

 

during the fight you hear the soldiers cheer for both parties, even some party members have joined the show

 

after the sparring:

 

If cassandra is not LI - She congratulates you on sparring and goes off to rest

 

If cassandra is LI - She congratulates you and wants a rematch *later*  (Reach/Flexibility)

 

If Inquisitor tends on Order - The soldiers salute in orderly fashioned and resume training inspired by their leaders

 

If inquisitor tends on Chaos - The soldiers surround both the inquisitor and cassandra, patting their backs and shoulders cheering loudly and heartily (while varric has a money pouch in his hand due to the bets during the sparring)

Maybe not, but it doesn't make her any less awesome. She seems very confident and capable. Maybe even a little over-confident. I can see my inquisitor having her hands full with Cassandra in the party. I think all the companions and NPCs look like they bring something to the table in this game I can see sparks flying between Cass and Vivienne though, whether they work it out like Aveline and Isabela, or snipe all the way to the grand finale, I couldnt say.
