I disagree. I don't think it sucks. It's another case of wasted potential. But at least it crosses the finish line unlike DA2.
I blame that on other fans. And sales/EA, I suppose. I want to scream like the Arishok. "Like fat dathrasi you feed and feed.." F*cking pigs.
DA2 itself failed where this succeeded..world design, copy/paste maps, etc.. It never reached it's potential/finish line because writers can't do their damn job without everyone else thinking they should be involved.
You still haven't said exactly what you don't like about it.

I'm not going to either, I think. It doesn't matter to anyone but me anyways. And I'd rather leave on some note of positivity.
It's enough that I like Cass.

I think they had one. Look at Gaider's blog on what he planned for the Exalted March expansion. He clearly has visions of things.. even when changes must be made along the way. But this was a case where vision was completely shot down.
I don't find that just sad for DA.. but sad for the medium. If games ever reach the level of "art" everyone wants, then it can't be dictated like that.

I feel as time goes on DA's writing team has been pulling more and more punches. In DA:O there was rape, murder, blood sacrifices, ect. You could literally kill Connor. I admit that some of it was there for the sake of being there, but on the flip side a lot of it was in there for the sake of thought provoking storytelling. It's gotten to the point where the PC can't be mind-raped by a demon because "someone might get offended". IMO if you're not offending people you're not doing your job.

At least stay for the DLC cycle bro. Never know. Legacy kind of redeemed DA2 for me. It's was definitely a better 3rd Act to what was in the vanilla game.

It shouldn't pander to either. If they had a rough narrative and style they wanted from the inception of Dragon Age, go for it and make the games and it's choices fit around the narrative. I could also go on about EA but I'm sure everyone has probably heard people rant about them at some point in time, so I'll save my breath.

I hope for once that some dlc comes that will actually let us get married. Who knows, that might be foreshadowing.
That the romance card for cass still shows if divine and you don't dump her gives me a teeny bit of hope even if I still think it's unlikely as hell. The Inquisition would have the most badass wedding ever, lol.
She'd probably roll in with full armor, lol, not some ****** ass dress. And it would be awesome.

It's a person that's cold toward you, but then change of events(feels) causes them to open up to you with a much warmer demeanor.
