Isn't a douche a shower?
In my native second language it is. (my native language doesn't really have a word for it, so it borrows it from Dutch)
In English it's a... very special kind of shower

Self entitled? What the?
The people that demand having an option to kill her and/or dismiss her are the self entitled ones here, not me.
My apologies self entitled was the wrong qord to use in this case. Though no one here as been demanding Liara be dismissed or killed they only wish it could have been and option. Anyway the word I was looking for was snobbish, but whatever it's to late now

I'm not demanding that T'soni is killed, but to have the option where she can die if certain circunstances are met. And even if there is I wouldn't kill her every time since that would lessen replay value for me.
I have done a trilogy run where Liara is the only squadmate killed(minus Legion, edi and Thane) but of course Shepard has to die which sucks.

More or less. It's only in America that we can take any word that doesn't have a "negative" connotation and skew it in order to give it one. Like douche and ******(which are cigarettes in English-English, and IIRC, a ****** is actually a small piece of wood that is used as a fire starter if you are making a camp fire. Not sure however).
NVM, Psychevore beat me to it. However, as you can see, try to use the other word for a cigarette and you have it censored here on BSN.
Such bollocks.

Pfft, I have been using Bollocks for the past 6 or 7 years(thanks to V for Vendetta). I think I use it more, if not equal to, Bull s***.

Liara should have been the first to walk out the airlock.

But as I said in another topic the ones who want Liara to be killable don't want it for any thematic or story reasons, they want it for the pleasure of watching her die. And that just seems petty as hell.

Not really. I've seen threads that have been locked that really went to hell or started to become "creeper" threads. This one? Not so much.
I did notice that the other "Liara Bash" thread has finally fell by the wayside. All it took was CronoDragoon to remind everyone of the..."dextro milk mystery" to finally end it. And ofcourse, this thread.
How to end a Liara Bash thread: Make or remind everyone of a sick or creepy post and then make another Liara hate thread.

For the record, personally, I do like Liara in general (plenty of my Sheps have romanced her) -- but I wouldn't mind an option of having her die, if it fit within the context of the story. You know, something like Tali dying on Rannoch, or whatever. I don't want Liara to die just for the sake of killing her, that'd be stupid.

And yet, from browsing BSN, there's plenty of folks who want just that. Some of them in this very thread. And as Perpetual Nirvana said, that's just petty. And sad. Quite sad indeed.
Like you, I would welcome the option of having her killed. I mean, I would never take it, but options are good, you know. Hell, maybe even some of the hate could be migitated by that.
Or maybe I'm just too optimistic.

Of course it'd be mitigated. The perception of preferential treatment (both Liara and Asari in general) is more the source of it than anything else. And yet, from browsing BSN, there's plenty of folks who want just that. But how often do you see people saying "I hate the treatment Liara received and, consequently, the lack of show time for my favourite character"? Usually, it's "I hate Liara". At least, for me it is. I can get behind the former, heck, support it even. But the latter?
Either people spend too much time hating, are oblivious to the difference or really hate the character that much. And I'm not sure which I'd prefer more.

I'm annoyed by it, but I can honestly say that I've never been "mean" to her in any of my ME1 playthroughs (the only time it's possible, really). But how often do you see people saying "I hate the treatment Liara received and, consequently, the lack of show time for my favourite character"? I've said it before; what she really reminds me of is Sondra Locke in all those Clint Eastwood movies. Never had much of a role or personality, but got an inordinate amount of attention regardless.

Hating the asari or Liara isn't the same as hating a real person or ethnc group. I hate Liara and the asari as characters and concepts. I want them gone from the verse for various reasons. And, yes, sometimes my fantasies of fictional genocide are a bit vivid. But, again, not real.
And I used to like Liara...

Funny really because she is a fairly inoffensive character.
She really is. Come to think of it, I'm surprised she doesn't get hit with Kaidan treatment. You know, "he's so bland and boring." Or maybe I'm just visiting the wrong threads.

I wasn't speaking of you personally, but the general atmosphere certainly seems to be leaning in that direction.
We'll have to agree to disagree on personality, since I find her to be just great. But then, I'm that kind of a guy. And I like Kaidan and Jacob quite well enough and they seem to be widely perceived as two of the most bland characters in the trilogy.

I consider any kind of hate unhealty. Especially if it's on the virtual characters.
It's just such a... wasteful emotion.

Is that the line where Shepard asks if the Asari ever won a war?
If so I did a reload on that one to choose another option. Its makes Shepard sound like a dolt who hasn't heard of the Rachni Wars or Krogan Rebellions.

Yes, if you ignore the Asari contribution. Like WW2 was won by the US.

Shepard is right. The Asari have not won a war on their own. They had the Turains and Salarians to help stop the Krogan and they needed the Salarians to uplift the Krogan to defeat the Rachni.
