Why is it she always dies in combat? I put her in cover and for some reason wants to charge her way to enemy getting gunned down so quickly. She also is able to get killed from a husk hitting her 3 times. Its one of the funniest things I saw in the game.

 

This coming from a woman(and I do apolozige if I got your gender wrong) that doesn't develop Liara's powers and gives her the weakest weapons available? Well golly gee, it's almost like she isn't properly optimized for the one task she was designed for!

 

I do wonder why she sucks so much...

I'm having a little trouble figuring out if you're being sarcastic here. You know, internet and everything. But I actually agree with you. Sorry if my previous post came across as anything else than tongue-in-cheek, because that's all I wanted it to be.

 

I always roll my eyes when Liara lovers claim Liara hate is due to a lack of interaction with my preferred character. My favorite character is Garrus and I got more time with him than I expected. Bioware completely blew me away with his ME3 romance, I couldn't be happier with him. I loathe Liara because the virginal, uber young, hero-worshiping nerd bait and male fantasy trope irritates me. And then Bioware combined that with a human-looking, long-lived alien "babe" (personally, I don't find her attractive, especially in ME1) who can magically "reproduce" with male and female non-asari (Bioware: "Look, young male players, she even has a legitimate reason to want to sleep with you! AND you can pair her with a female Shepard so you can indulge your lesbian fantasies at the same time!"). Her voice is monotone and its "breathy" quality grates my ears. And I like my personal space, so her unending obsession with Shepard (especially with my Shepard who picked her up right before Ilos and never spoke with her outside of the required conversations) just makes her repulsive.

i dont like her because shes clingy and annoying. shes also treated like shes military and she obviously isnt.

Other than getting a selection of armor and weapons, she's not treated like military any more than the other numerous civilians that Shepard recruited in Mass Effect 2.

There you go again. I told you before, you don't speak for me. My hate for T'soni was long before I met Samantha(myLI)  so again your statement, like usual, is false.

Miranda is my favorite character/LI so in ME3 when she wasn't a squadmate I thought Liara was trying to be a good friend and be there for my Shep since Miranda couldn't. I actually liked how she checked up on Shep and was there for him. This actually made me appreciate her more, and made her one of my favorite characters. I understand why a lot of people don't like Liara, and I don't expect everyone to like her but I really liked her role in ME3. I do still wish the ME2 squadmates would have been treated better, but that's a different topic.

Like anything else the 'haters' aren't a monolithic group.

 

But yeah, most of it is just sour grapes over their favorite LI getting less content. The same thing went on after the release of Mass Effect 2 except it was directed at Miranda and Tali.

I did say that it wasn't the case with everyone.

 

But it certainly is the case with most. The issue for most isn't that Liara got a lot of content, its that their favorite LI didn't get the same amount.

I knew you were being tongue in cheek. But with this being the internet.... I thought I'd go off on something totally unrelated because it dawned on me why the DE ending got dropped. I just thought I'd share. It sounded ridiculous.The worst thing they did IMO was have a reaper invasion.
