It would make me happy if Fiona was NOT Alistair's mother...
Having said that I do hope to see Alistair as King or alternatively as a Warden.
I think the Inquisitor would need to speak with the ruler before establishing a base of operations in the kingdom. I made a personality hardened Alistair the new King with Anora, so I wonder what arrangements would need to be made. I'm also hoping the royal boons are addressed by Alistair.
