Hopefully there's no "Swooping is bad." quip. It was a little cheesy the last time around.

If Loghain is going to show up he should be a battle hardened part of the warden order ( if that was the choice made by the player ). We will probably have the wardens involved as well, and he is not a politician no more.

What impact would Loghain have on it? unless you just mean a cameo or something?
Well, if alive he is the head Warden of Orlais, so that has some impact.

"Swooping, for lack of a better word, is good. Swooping is right. Swooping works. Swooping clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of Wilder spirit. Swooping, in all of it forms: swooping for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of Chasind and swooping, and you mark my words, will not only save the Chasind tribes but that other malfunctioning tribe called Ferelden. Thank you very much." - Chasind leader Gordon Gekko. ![]()

Yaay! This is the news i've been waiting for, now i can wait for the game in peace. Alistair and Morrigan are my favorite charactes, so glad both are back. Hope to see at least one funny chat between them. ![]()

I can't wait to see Alistair again. I never expected his cameo in DA2, and it was a great treat. Far and away my favorite character in DA:O, right up there with Shale. Excited to see how big of a role he plays, considering that DA:I is more a game of nations, involving much more powerful people.

But Wardens aren't political, or do you mean with the veil tear?
Any interactions with Grey Wardens while in Orlais carries with it the possibility of a Loghain cameo. Considering all the whispered and vague "we got **** to do" they were doing in Dragon Age 2... they have something... I would hope.

Yeah, my biggest worry is that any possible Loghain cameo might get cut because "no one chose this option, so let's not waste resources writing something for it".

For what it's worth I am glad Alistair's coming back. Love hate relationship with the guy, but he is the king in my playthrough, as well, so I'm glad something's coming of that.
But Loghain is also very much alive on my playthroughs, and I don't care how old he is and I don't care that David Gaider wants a 5-10 year limit on warden life spans instead of the 30 that got in the game; I wanna see Loghain again.

Yeah, I hear you, I'd be worried if it was reversed with Alistair, too.
and I wouldn't be happy.

I only have one PT that let Loghain live, but I think it may have accidentally became my favorite.

I hope he's there to voice a fat Alistair since he's been king for like 15-20 years doing nothing but eating legs of turkey.
I really want to see everyone poop themselves in anger over a fat Alistair.
Hmmmmmmmm. Interesting. <strokes chin>

*knowing it would never happen, but imagines with glee how awesome it would be to have loghain and alistair begrudgingly fight side by side to defend ferelden from demons*
Loghain: I never thought we'd ever find some common ground boy.
Alistair: And all it took was a demonic invasion on our home.
Loghain: All these years and still with that lip...any kids yet though?
Alistair: Is this really the time? and I'm not comfortable talking about my *private matters*
Loghain: Your private matters are the concern of all Ferelden.
Alistair: Well that's not scary or creepy at all...

Oh Alistair is back!
Wonder how he will look this time.
DA2 engine didn't do him any favor ,poor thing.
And I also wonder what role he will play ,he's king in all my playthrough...But this time , there's Morrigan around.
And she had his OGB ...it'd be fun to have both of them in the same room , while playing The Inquisitor who never got involved in that dirty business.
Inquisitor "King Alistair , you've slept with a Witch of the Wild !How scandalous."
Alistair "Awww , the warden asked me to do it."
Inquisitor "Sure .Let's go with that."
Alistair "I swear!"

You have no idea how much I want them to have an actual conversation.
They never actually speak to each other during the whole of Origins; I think Alistair yells at Loghain a bit during the Landsmeet; that's it. Even when he's calling for his execution, Alistair never deems to actually speak to Loghain; directing all his ire at the Warden.
No matter what the rest of the game is like, if it had a scene where Loghain and Alistair actually spoke face to face, man to man, it will have been worth the cost.

So Alistair is going to return? Great news, even if it's just for a cameo (I suppose it would be just for a cameo).

+1
That and a scene with Morrigan if he was the OGB's father. That must be hilarious.
