one of the things i love about the dragon age universe is that it isn't hiding just how messed up everyone is in their heads.  Adrian especially.  Who knows what horrors occurred to her in that circle, or what was done to her before she got there.

she had to learn to play the game yes, but it could have been that she was so afraid to be the one in the open, to be the voice.  that she knew she'd die.

maybe she didn't want to be a martyr,

i'm not making an excuse for her.  just saying she had reasons to be such a, um...betrayer

making her that much more interesting.

but yes, so far in thedas, virtually no one (except the dwarf that wanted to study magic), as pure.

Inb4 Dagna created the tears in the Ve- No. Just no. Never.

There's no need to lie. People doesn't usually have only one motivation behind their actions.

She could easily wish to restore the Circles for the good of the mages and her own good as well.

It would still make her a less attractive character in my eyes. But that's only my opinion.

That's a good point. There's quite a lot we don't know about Adrian.

Dagna is really awesome.

If Adrian's in DAI i wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to usurp Fiona and the player has to stop her or alternatively Rhys killed her beforehand.

Such a brave woman Dagna is to willingly enter the pit of endless abuse that is any Circle at all.

Why, from what I've heard, you look wrong at a Templar and you'll have a sword at your throat and your breeches down your knees.

hey, that's a really good theory. I've considered her trying to do that to Fiona a couple times before, as well. I think it's very plausible.

I don't agree with Chantry controlled Circles, at all.

This is the problem with Xil comparing Vivienne to Adrian, or anyone really trying to debate about her. We don't know enough to do so, we don't know her goals or intentions.

I think it's an issue of seeing potential for what can be done with Adrian's character, who is now the leader of the Libertarians. In fact. I think Inquisition would be a nice opportunity to get to know all the leaders of the fraternities, and to obtain some insight into all of their viewpoints.

Apparently, templars and seekers were planning to attack the location in which Adrian and company were hiding. Assuming those Chantry types actually went through with their plan, it's possible that Adrian is either dead or imprisoned.

If Adrian is going to be a factor and a general faction leader I'm just gonna talk to her one on one and ask her straight on as a mage to mage - what does she want.

If she says straight up that she wants to destroy the chantry, the templar order, that she believes that mages are superior to mundanes and that she wants to carefully, ( or not so carefully ) establish mage dominance over mundanes I'll give her a high-five and she will have my utmost respect and support.

But if she start with the crap about injustice towards mages and get's on her high horse I will hand her to the templars or something.

Dagna would be fine from the Templars since she doesn't have magic. She's more in danger from an abomination than a Templar's blade.

I'm not ''trying'', but I'm not sure if the game will allows me such actions.

Everyone is more in danger from an Abomination than a Templar's blade.
I was poking fun at your typical anti-Circle hyperbole.

I hope the templars gave Dagna combat training. That might increase her chances as a companion.  :D

You're looking to play as a Tevinter mage?

I'd like this idea, I just don't like her.

It seems like the Tevinter position is one we'll eventually be able to side with. I mean, Tevinter is an entire country in the Thedas world. I don't really believe they'll paint any whole civilization as being wholly evil and unsympathetic. If the Qun and Par Vollen are a sympathetic group, I doubt that Tevinter wont also be, in their own way. So, I would be surprised if we aren't eventually allowed to play in a way that supports Tevinter, if not in this game, then down the line.

Well, she is an Agent apparently.
