It seems like the Tevinter position is one we'll eventually be able to side with. I mean, Tevinter is an entire country in the Thedas world. I don't really believe they'll paint any whole civilization as being wholly evil and unsympathetic. If the Qun and Par Vollen are a sympathetic group, I doubt that Tevinter wont also be, in their own way. So, I would be surprised if we aren't eventually allowed to play in a way that supports Tevinter, if not in this game, then down the line.
That's my biggest hope. I really want to explore Tevinter, and possibly support it.
Just don't try to abolish slavery... There's a history of failed anti-slavery movements in Tevinter. ![]()
Quick romance and then murder knife ![]()

lol, I'd like to clear that out and be successful.

cold hearted, whew, easy there, Zevran

That'd be nice, if you could gather enough people against it. But Tevinter seems to be united on keeping it. I'm sure that a future game could be based around that, if we're dealing with the rights of elves.
I wasn't trying to be mean! I just... I mean I... I've gone two years and seen maybe six people say anything good about him... I thought surely you had a bubble... I just... it's been so long and I had given up hope anyone liked him at all...
I...
I need a tissue...
I thought he was cool.
I'd actually enjoy Tevinter
I like you. ![]()
Not sure why you have a beef with Adrian then though.

Her methods and killing Pharamound. I'm not against the Mage cause, you should know this.
But then you won't be able to enjoy it anymore.
I know but everyone will get mad if I don't.
Unless I can just lay low and become a Magister and dress in all black with them.

And what's that mage cause that you support?

Who get's mad? You be the magister, dress however you want, have slaves kissing your feet and enjoy your life.
FREEEEEDOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! ![]()
The freedom of Mages.
But what's the point in supporting freedom for a particular group if you understand the position of dominance and could accept the ways of Tevinter where you could be on top having your own slaves?

Just because Tevinter is working fine, for mages, doesn't mean the rest of the world shouldn't be free.

So you support freedom for mages across the world, but you are not against slavery as long as it's not mages?

nope, I'm not for slavery at all. I'd rather Tevinter be slaveless, and every other area. Obviously that'll never happen.
If Tevinter wasn't pro-slave, it'd be perfect

So you wouldn't enjoy it in Tevinter after all..
If Tevinter wasn't a mage supremacist country, it would be no different from any other.

I absolutely would enjoy Tevinter, stop ittttt
I don't want Mage supremacy rather than some balance of equality.
I'd say Tevinter's on the extremist/supremacist side... Nevarra seems to be the most moderate country so far, but I may just be reading too much into the wiki. But Tevinter does sound nice.

How is Nevarra with mages?

Your contradicting yourself. ![]()
As I said, if it wasn't for mage supremacy Tevinter wouldn't be Tevinter. It would be another country filled with circles ( currently broken ) and mages that were governed by templars and the chantry.
Mages are either dominated or they dominate.

Don't Nevarran mages have more influential political roles, along with having their own secret society that's about as learned as Tevinter mages? I'm taking all of this from the wiki.
Edit: I think this has been mentioned in The World of Thedas.

First of all, I thought you were kidding in the beginning, I didn't think you were serious about slaves. Usually.. people aren't.. like that?
I'm not contradicting myself, I can enjoy a place but not like some of it's customs. I enjoyed coming to America but I hate a lot of it's customs and if I could change it, I would.
Tevinter has Mage supremacy, and it works for them, but there's still an imbalance. If this was real, and I was a Mage, of course I'd want to be in Tevinter, why wouldn't I? I probably would be too angry with how everything has been and would want that supremacy.
However, this is a game, and it's all very idealistic - therefore, as the Inquisitor, as the PC, I want some kind of balance for Mages and non-mages in the world.
