Don't Nevarran mages have more influential political roles, along with having their own secret society that's about as learned as Tevinter mages? I'm taking all of this from the wiki.

It's been a bit since I read my World of Thedas, so I can't remember exactly, but I think you're right. I just forgot lol.

If this was real, and I was a Mage, of course I'd want to be in Tevinter, why wouldn't I? I probably would be too angry with how everything has been and would want that supremacy.

This is all that matters.

Edit: I think this has been mentioned in The World of Thedas.

Nevarra is kinda a place with very serious Lucrosians, aka Vivienne in the court. But they still follow all the chantry laws and such.

Don't they have some necromancy rituals or something like that?

''Nevarrans have a unique relationship with magic and death. They believe that when a dead soul crosses the Fade it displaces a Fade spirit. In order to provide safe hosts for such spirits they mummify the corpses and place them in elaborate crypts in the Grand Necropolis.''

I hope we get to go there, and I hope we get to meet powerful Nevarran mages  :wizard:

Nah, that's just the more accurate representation of a face expression I had at that moment.

Nevarran mages wield more power than in any other Chantry-dominated nation, according to WoT. The Mortilasi, a mage order, study mummification and rarely leave the country.

Mortalisali is the organization who's in charge of the preparations for the Grand Necropolis. They're very secretive, and people think the're practicing forbidden arts....~~~

That is very interesting... But then again, it may have something to do with how close they are to Tevinter. Perhaps Tevinter has some influence there?

probably, or they couldn't quite break their ties with their previous religions despite converting to Andraste's teachings.  like how pagan superstitions and hollidays made it into catholicism

That'd be nice, if you could gather enough people against it. But Tevinter seems to be united on keeping it. I'm sure that a future game could be based around that, if we're dealing with the rights of elves.

Kill enough slave-supporting magisters, and the others will capitulate in an act of self-preservation.

Capitulate to what? What's their fate?

Haruhi smiling to that doesn't feel right, considering she was forced into basically indentured servitude to pay back a vase she broke by cross-dressing as a boy and working at a host club.

They give up their slaves, or they end up like their fellows.

Perhaps if Tevinter had something else to support their economy, they could actually get rid of slavery. But apparently, without slavery, their economy would collapse.

Well, if they didn't constantly try to reclaim Seheron and instead have agreed with the ceasefire the Qunari and the rest of Thedas signed, their economy may have stabilized.
