So clearly I'll need to go there to rescue both Adrian and Anders.

I'm the gatekeeper
Prisoner exchange. Vivienne and Cullen.
It was more you confess or rot in this dungeon but yeah. I still feel he made a legitimate attempt to find the truth. Which is one of the things I did ad more about his character. It wasn't just all mages are bad and there is no reason to investigate as I already know who did it.
And he would've been dead-wrong.
He also could've waited until the conclave was over before making the arrest. That would've been the smart thing to do, and would've helped prevent any violence.
Oh, okay, so Lambert promises not to slaughter an entire building full of people as long as someone confesses to a string of murders that they did not commit.
He's truly a saint. How have I been so blind all this time?
I'm the gatekeeper
Umm...I was about to say I'm the keymaster, but the Ghosbuster's reference made me remember that they ended up making out, and, well, I like girls.
No offense.

What part of obtaining a confession with the use of extreme threats counts as a "legitimate attempt to find the truth"?
In a world where logic and the concept of due process actually exist, information that is coerced out of a person through threats or violence would be dismissed out of hand. Because people will confess to witchcraft or being abducted by aliens if you scare or hurt them enough.

You drive a hard bargain, Xilizhra....

I'm the keymaster.
I have made that same point at least a dozen times. This is usually where TKS shows up and says how Lambert ended the war before it started and insults the divine.
*shrugs* Well, he's not here now, and the fact that the war DID in fact start, just goes to show that that isn't true. ![]()
I'm the gatekeeper.
Hush dear. *I* hold the keys to their circle of hell. They lay within Judecca.
No! A skilled Knight-Captain Templar and First Enchanter? She's no match for the both of them together!
But her wicked magicks are most fierce!
Hush dear. *I* hold the keys to their circle of hell. They lay within Judecca.
Well, in that case, I hold the keys to some rather shiney pearly gates.
I'm just trying to make out with Dragonflight tbh
LOL!

This made me laugh so hard. So true.

Stop!! If you say his name enough, he'll hear you and appear.
LOL!
Oh, get a room!

What part of he deserves his own place in hell did you not understand. There is no way to incorporate that with me defending him. I jist want he was an interesting character that could have easily just been a mustache twirling mage hater. But he wasn't.

When exactly did you make the logic leap that I am defending the actions of Lambert?

*Sigh*
No, he utterly failed in that.
Due to the Divine.
But he failed.
