You make it sound like he's Candyman... Or Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice is at least mildly entertaining.
*Sigh*
No, he utterly failed in that.
Due to the Divine.
But he failed.
How can he fail due to the Divine if he openly defies the Divine?

The movie or the cartoon?

Careful, that is basically TKS's argument.
What part of he deserves his own place in hell did you not understand. There is no way to incorporate that with me defending him. I jist want he was an interesting character that could have easily just been a mustache twirling mage hater. But he wasn't.
Except he is? I don't see how you could interpret his actions as caring about discovering the "truth" at all. In fact, he actively attempts to hide an extremely important truth with murder.
He's not interested in the truth, he's interested in maintaining the putrid status quo, because of his own personal biases relating to his experiences with another, completely irrelevant group of mages.
The movie or the cartoon?
The movie. That aboration of a cartoon is....I don't know, I need to consult my Cthulu compendium to find a word that describes the utter vileness of that cartoon.

Good lord you are going to actually make me defend Lambert aren't you. He gives both Evangeline and Rhys opportunities to produce Cole to corraborate their story. He consults the entire history of mages brought into the spire to find one named Cole and there isn't one. He asks Evangeline and Rhyss probing questions about cole and researches for powers similar to his in the records. He didn't just sit in his office and say Rhyss did it and cole didn't exist.
When exactly did you make the logic leap that I am defending the actions of Lambert?
Just now, when you tried to excuse his actions? I mean, are you even reading your posts before you hit submit?
"I'm not defending Lambert! It's just that the words I type are in defense of his actions and character!"
If I say that I don't hate black jellybeans, but then every word out of my mouth is about how foul they taste, then I think people would be justified in thinking that my claims don't ring entirely true.
Careful, that is basically TKS's argument.
Well for once TKS was just about on the money.
Due the interference of the church the mages escaped to a fortified position, their war leaders escaped, the only method of tracking them successfully was destroyed and here is the best bit? The Murdering of men doing their duty. The Divine all but handed Fiona free pass to make her war upon Thedas.

Her interference in so far as aiding the mages escape.
And defied her to a point, he still heeded her summons, remember that.
I like to think he made one final appeal there, one final chance for the Templars and Seekers both to remain with the Chantry...We will likely never know though.

I thought both were sort of entertaining....although I watched the cartoon when I was five and was more fascinated by the visual appeal and didn't pay any attention to the story. Heck, today I still can't recall a thing about the cartoon save what the characters looked like....
You know, maybe it wasn't that good since I can't remember any of that but I can remember "Goof Troop," "Chip 'N Dale, Rescue Rangers," "Duck Tales," and so on with near pin-point accuracy.
What happened to the Shemlen/Durgen’len forbidden romance?
I'm a Paragon. The Assembly won't dare dispute me!

I said the character was interesting. That is a long way from defending him.

Duck Tales, now that was a solid successor to GI Joe, He-Man, and Transformers.

Right, but that's irrelevent?
Lambert doesn't care about "truth", except when it offers him a chance to hate on mages. He tries very hard to bury truths that he finds inconvenient.
And it doesn't matter how he goes about investigating murders, because he's a total hypocrite who will himself commit murder when it suits him.
When Adrian killed Pharamond, she was doing Lambert a favour. He was just going to have the man made Tranquil again anyway, so his life was of no importance to Lambert. But he pursued it, because he thought it would give him the chance to hurt Rhys. Because, no matter what he claims to the contrary, all of Lambert's actions are driven by the desire to avenge himself against mages.
You say you dislike Lambert, and that you just find him "interesting", but your entire basis for finding him interesting is that you perceive him as being "not as bad" as people say. For as much as you claim to condemn him, all your posts for at least the last few pages have been in defense of his character.
I'm an elf at heart, that counts, right?
Doesn't bother me. Heck, elves are closer to dwarves in stature than humans. ![]()

GI Joe was awesome ^.^

One show blows them all out of the water, however.
Gargoyles.
That was the point Lob, I'm glad you caught that.

...Elves are hot.

Or at least order murder to take place rather than receive evidence that helps the Circle's.
