That's his position.

And you assume it to be right, Maybe i am just an older man but i will say this.

We can delude ourselves on that front quite accurately...take my word on that, Their relationship could have been intimate, it could have been a mere fantasy of his.

We don't know. Point is though, People tout Alrik like he is the Anti Christ when in truth?

The "Evidence" of his crimes are mostly circumstantial duologue and implied innuendo and little else.

She says they were in an 'illicit relationship', so it's not something that just happened in his head.

No, I'm pointing out the evidence against him is WEAK.

That's called defending.

Yes, he is. I believe it is him and KainD who actually think Alrik wasn't wrong in turning mages into his sex slaves.

Blah Blah Hana, Are you going to recite how you lost all respect for me again?

Or are we going to skip that phase?

Dramatics aside, Do you have anything to contribute to you're accusations against the Templar in question?

He practically reveals his motives are even more perverse than we originally believed. Every single evidence points that way too.

And yes Alrik is the only known instance but then there is no evidence that other Templars wouldn't have similar mindsets.

It's not the kindest thing to say, but nobody misses Alrik. Not even the other templars. I know it's hard to imagine, but they don't want to fight. They want things to be normal: no Harrowings, no Tranquil, and no one dying. But none of us are getting that wish now.

http://dragonage.wik...tter:_From_Ella

Meanwhile there is evidence of them having the same mindset, for example Cullen thinking it may be better if they Tranquilized the lot of them.

That is so not what Cullen says. What he says is that the Rite has served the Order well for centuries, that they use it as a mercy and that if it becomes more commonly used that is because the mages have forced the Templars into it.

In Act 3, he predicts that Meredith will eventually Annul the Circle and wonders if Alrik's plan wouldn't have been a kinder solution since, at least, the mages would retains their lives.

Lol? did you miss the word perverse? There was nothing perverse about Anders. I was totally talking about Alrik.

"This is confirmed by a background conversation between a human Tranquil, Helena, and her former elven lover, Jaken, in the Gallows courtyard earlier in Act 2. Other Tranquil in the courtyard claim that "Ser Alrik [said] the Rite of Tranquility is the only thing that can keep the souls of mages from the Void" and "Ser Alrik rescued [them] from [their] sins."

She made it seem past tense even in so far before her tranquility, or least i gathered that.

And i still maintain Tranquil possess the cognition required to grant assent for Intercourse so the line at the end doesn't trouble me overly, i admit if i was the type to draw conclusions, and base things off of dialogue with nothing more to sustain them then my own musings and beliefs i might find this compelling but i am not that type of person.

She says it past tense because it happened in the past, just like she was made Tranquil by Alrik in the past.

No, you're apparently the kind of person who thinks someone agreeing to have sex with someone at gunpoint with the threat of death over them isn't rape either. You know, since it is the exact same principle since Tranquil will only agree to sex if it is the logical thing to do, for example the alternative being death or other forms of punishment.

Technically I wouldn't call it rape no. Rape is when you resist with all your might and still fail. But that's imo. Semantics really.

Next time try harder to troll. You can see what has been changed by looking at history and compare changes. NOTHING was added since 2012. Only links and typos fixed.

Also it was not edited today. Last edit was on Feb 7. Did you just tried to edit it? :D the text is locked, you can only change/fix the links and references.

Fixed for you.

Anyway, I agree that Cullen definitely has more benign reasons the Ser Otto "Tranquil Solution" Alrik. But no, he says the Harrowing has served them well for centuries, not the Right of Tranquility. Just felt that needed correcting.

I'm sure all the rape victims who had exactly that scenario happen to them will agree with you.

There are a great many things preverse about Anders.

For instance, his willingness to use the death of a young woman he caused as propaganda against the Templars going so far as to lie to her parents.

Then thank God you aren't in a position of power.

There's a different law covering threatening people with guns. It's not like it's legal either way.

Wait...What? Are you serious? You think that if a person is in a situation where they are forced to decide between death or forced sex and they choose the forced sex then it isn't rape? Seriously?

Does it matter what is going to written on the paper that sends someone to jail? Like I said it's just semantics.

Well, considering the term of the sentence changes depending on the crime, aka what's written on that piece of paper, yes it does.

Seriously. Whenever you are given a choice it's up to you. It doesn't mean that I believe that it's alright for people to go around and threaten others into having sex with them, it's just terminology.

Well a legit physical death threat should be highest one after murder imo, unless in self-defense.
