Wait, did I get that right? Multiple dialogue options? In party banter?

Mr. Schumacher, this better not be your idea for an April Fools' joke! Otherwise I'll be pretty sad.

It's not an April Fool's joke.

But yeah, we added support for allowing the player to opt into various conversations.  I can't say for certain if ALL banters will have PC lines, nor if there's never a time that the Inquisitor says something without player input, but yes player banter can incorporate PC lines.

Oh, that sounds awesome!  Thanks for letting us know it was a real deal.  :D

We will be going to cities, it was mentioned that we'll be going the capitals of Orlais and Neverra, so Val Royeaux which was most likely where the party was in the trailer, and Cummberland which was mentioned a few times in the series.

Can you provide exact context on this please? When I read the article a couple of days ago the cities bit was from a caption of OXM's own construction. There was no quote anywhere, it just said we'll be visiting places like the capitals of Orlais and Nevarra somehow. Did I miss clarification or was that it?

I thought the capital city of Nevarra was Nevarra city, not Cumberland.

That is correct, yes.

Hi fellow Dragon Age: Inquisition fans!

I just bought the Official Xbox Magazine featuring their preview for Dragon Age Inquisition. (It came out today in a Singapore bookshop)

Which issue is this? I want to keep an eye out for when it's released in the US. What's on the cover?

So so so so excited. The 40 possible endings sounds amazing. But I sure hope there's going to be a 4th. I've heard that there is more to Dragon Age lore than where this game takes place.

Once this game comes out, Bye-bye Social life!~:3

Just got my copy, here's a few point's.

The whole Kokari wild's thing was actually OXM's doing, they ( the devs) didn't actually mention a specific level, what they said was that the levels on average are 3 times bigger than the largest levels in the series.

Stealth and Taunt have been revamped, mages can heal but they can't spam healing spells.

We can target individual body parts that allows us to wound or disable our opponents, targeting a dragon's wing or wings will ground it, rogues can cause deep gashes the example they gave was a rogue attacks a dragon's leg which leaves deep gashes causing it to hobble, falter or stumble.

The demonstration they saw was on medium settings which could be how it looks on the 360 though that's their speculation.

We will be going to cities, it was mentioned that we'll be going the capitals of Orlais and Neverra, so Val Royeaux which was most likely where the party was in the trailer, and Nevrra city, Cummberland which was mentioned a few times in the series which isn't the capital just very large and is one of thebiggest cities in Thedas.

We can learn more about the lore by exploring the areas itself rather than getting a ton of dialogue, by exploring the Emerald Graves we can learn more about the elves history and humanities role in their oppression. So exploring will pay off quite a bit since according to the article they want to tell stories through the settings themselves.

Environments include forests, jungles, wind swept plains, desserts, a marsh, massive fortresses, palaces, in addition to the ones talked about before, bogs, mountain ranges.

We presumably gain the ability to close the rifts from the tear.

Each race has a vailid reason for being the inquisitor, and not everyone will trust us, these aren't from this article but I saw a few people talking about it.

Wait, so is the attack system similar to Skyrim where we have to aim ourselves? I also like that we can actually injure our enemies, hope the system will be a much better version of the Fallout system.

And also, can we use this Fade closing abilty to our advantage, I assume mages will get a good boost to their magic but how will it affect warrior and rogues?

What I'm asking about this is could we, hypothetically, use the ability to augment the Inquisitor unlike any other character?

Are there any other magazines with DAI previews? I doubt it's only OXM and Gamestar.

JeuxVideo Magazine in France also had an article.

There are almost certainly more online previews coming, too. Kris Ligman, an American journalist, was also there and she said the embargo for her story would be expiring around now.

A fan also cleared up some of the mistakes that JeuxVideo had:

- The world is made up of large zones or maps, not a fully-connected world

- Cassandra is a Seeker, not an Inquisitor (which the magazine said she was)

- The Inquisitor is the survivor of a dramatic event that has to do with The Fade, not the darkspawn

- The character the magazine thought was Isabela is actually Vivienne.

- Morrigan is not a party member, even though JeusVideo says she is.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you can target specific areas of a dragon rather than the dragon in general. Click character, click on leg of dragon. Character hits leg of dragon.

I doubt it'll be like skyrim or fallout.

In the french version, "the Seekers of truth" were called "the Inquisition"

Otherwise....yeah I gave up on french gaming "journalism" long ago, just a bunch of jaded ignorants.

And they were not that much wrong either, because the original Inquisition higher ups were called Seekers of Truths.

Seven hells. That's two out of three publications thus far that have gotten the Morrigan thing wrong.

Yeah, it seems that some of these magazines should put some extra effort into their communication skills... Those are pretty big flaws IMO.

Oh yeah, I think I remember something about that. That's... quite confusing when the Inquisition is now another organisation entirely.

She's called "une Inquisitrice" in the article, and the French fan page suggests "une Chercheuse de Vérité" is better.

I wonder if they'll change the Seekers' title in Inquisition to les Chercheurs?

The think the main problem is that Seeker doesn't have a literal translation in French (i.e. a word with the exact same meaning).  Chercheur/Chercheuse is mostly associated to scientific research (aka researcher).

Anyway, I personally believe that in-setting organization, names and titles shouldn't translated at all.

OK, THIS is just awesome.  Not only because it will increase immersion, but because I remember the thread where Allan came in and said "How would you see this working?", and asked for OUR ideas about what we would like to see IF they added this feature.

I'm stoked as much for the fact that fan interaction drove the addition of a feature as for the feature itself.
