No. Not bees. Why does it have to be bees of all things. (I guess this is what arachnophobes must have felt like when Bioware promised something even more terrifying than giant spiders.)
Other than that:
All of this sounds very interesting. Especially the info about the three dialouge wheels. What I would like to know is whether these wheels are somehow marked - meaning, will we know which of these wheels we're dealing with when we play the game? It probably depends on how the responses are written, but I would hate to think I was making a simple role-playing decision and then realize I've just sold Cassandra to a goat...
As far as the endings go: I call bullshit. And I mean that in the nicest way possible, because the article makes it sound like we will have 40 completely different and unique endings and that just doesn't seem very likely. I mean, I totally believe that there will be variations between the endings, but surely not different enough to warrant a playthrough for every ending or something. Sliders like DA:O seem the most likely possibility here and I am completely fine with that.
I like the news about possibly changing the pitch of the Inquisitor's voice. It's been confirmed that the speaker in the 'Discover DA' video was the male Inquisitor, was it not? I didn't particularly like the sound of his voice (it seemed too forced to me) and I'm willing to bet that the other voice available will be higher (and more fitting to an elf, for example), so being stuck with that wouldn't appeal to me. Not that the male Inquisitor's voice will matter much to me, but the principle stays the same for the female Inquisitor.
The prolouge section is gonna be interesting. I've speculated in the past that some decisions about the Inquisitor's past might be made through dialouge with another person and it seems that will indeed be the case. (And let me tell you, I LOVE game prolouges, when there's nothing more important to do than talk to people and get familiar with your character.)
It seems that we will have a lot fo influence over our environment and it's gonna be hella exciting to see how it all plays out in the final version of the game. Bioware really seems to put a lot of effort into this game and it shows!
Now, back to the *shudder* jar of bees. (Apart from being absolutely horrifying,) the first thing that made me think of is that it seems like a bit of a crude, make-shift invention. It doesn't seem like something a proper merchant would sell. And then my brain immediatly jumped to the possibility of having an inventor in your party or at least somewhere in your homebase. (Kind of like...what was his name? That inventor dude in Baldurs Gate II I never used 'cause he kept dying on me.)
And you know who I would love to see as an inventor who comes up with all sorts of crazy stuff? Dagna. Repeat after me: Daaagnaaa. I think she's been mentioned in a previous article (emphasis on 'I think') and I can imagine that her fascination with magic might have led her to try and emulate it - without having magical powers of her own, which would quite nicely lead to a change of career path for her.
(Disclaimer: I fully admit to being shamelessly biased. I just want to have Dagna in my party - or at least as an important PC. And I'm sure the devs always get a good laugh out of our baseless theories.
)
