.... Just ignore me, I'm tired...
Hilariously enough though, despite those kinds of claims I've actually seen people getting confused by the LACK of Femshep appearances in the media for the game.

Apparently showing any Shepard aside from the default male version will cause waves of mass confusion to ripple throughout the fandom. This will result in people being driven mad as they attempt to process the mere idea that you aren't limited to their Renegade generic marketing smuck. Panic will grip the nation, and in the wake of all this a legion of rabid dire bunnies will sweep through the streets and enslave us all...

i will not ignore you, because it is an excellent parody of the marketing teams flawed logic. they seem think no other game has ever had customizable main characters; i mean as far as trailers and tv spots are concerned its fine, but its not like DAO ever only showed one character throughout every gameplay vid, they even showed a character you cant have in the sacred ashes trailer, how is THAT not confusing? your demographic isnt toddlers bioware, i think we can handle ONE gameplay vid with femshep without destroying our concept of reality. but w/e, not gonna be a vid 5 days from release.

You play the game in a few days so does it matter?

there wont be. not even for me 3. The shep you see is the face of the brand
Not even for ME3? Do you work for Bioware or EA? In what capacity?

Though the reasoning isn't perfect, it still makes sense (to me at least).

I'd hate to think that those who say 'gamers will be confused' mean 'gamers are stupid and can't process the idea of more than one Shepard in the game'. <_<

They fight to change the world, not sit idly by while Bioware continues making mono-gendered trailers. Begin the revolution!withateethuh wrote...
I don't recall any real marketing with femshep in the first one. Don't know what people were expecting.

You can play as your femShep then and witness her in all her glory in the full game. I think that is better than a 1 min video.

its called marketing. The face will be kept for the trilogy. why? because every game needs the one recognizable guy

Yes but that is ATLEAST a week away from now! And ME3 is waaay off somewhere in the far future. If they don't break this vicious cycle of not showing the femshep to us... It'll continue to annoy us Femshep players for years to come...

Dont get me wrong though, my first two playthroughs will be a femshep and I would have liked to have at least seen something. However Biowares marketing have other intentions.
I think the way they have marketed it, as in cinema/movie style means they cant switch protagonist. Lets be fair the trailers have been awesome and amazing. Adding a femshep would confuse edge customers and add a heap of other issues. Whether you like it or not the marketing works and you have to see it from a business sense.
