What kind of companions are you hoping they'll be?

 

For reference, currently they seem to stand at: Varric, Vivienne, Cassandra, Solas, Iron Bull, Sera the Blonde Elf, and Bearded Warden.

 

Personally I'm hoping there's another mage. With mage/templar conflicts, red templars, breaking Circles, Fade tears and all sorts, it seems there should be a wide variety of mage opinions on the team. I'm hoping that Dramatic Hands Moustache Guy will be that third mage.

 

For the final companion slot, another woman would also be good. It would balance out the gender ratio a little. Preferably non-human (dwarf!). If we visit Kal Sharok, it would be interesting to have a perspective of both a surface dwarf and a native dwarf.

Well, they may do one more Mage and one more Rogue so it is an even 3/3/3 split.

Of all the Asunder characters, it'd make the most sense for Rhys to join the Inquisitor as a companion, seeing how his tale in the novel ended.

I'd rather Rhys not be a companion, actually. WEll, I'd love him to be but only if Evangeline was one too. I don't want those two to be split up.

That is true. Though maybe he joins us after she dies, by means of the Veil tears and demon invasion? Would make for great motivation.

 

I'd just rather Cole not be a companion, since I worry that might ruin his perfect role in the novel.

He's appeared in multiple pieces of concept art, was used (along with Cassandra) to demonstrate how armour changes on different companions, and I'm pretty sure he was in a background gameplay video during an early trailer/video diary.

 

He hasn't been officially confirmed. But I don't think anyone is doubting that he's a companion. I'll be incredibly surprised if it turns out he isn't.

I wish they would not bring any of the characters from books into the games.  I've already made up my mind about these characters one way or the other so I will suffer major biases that I would have a very hard time setting aside.  I am not sure if I could tolerate Rhys, Cole or Evangeline to ever be in my group.

That is true. Though wasn't it confirmed at least one Asunder character makes it into the game, possibly even as a companion?

I don't think they will go that route, since she already died once. What was the point of having Wynne sacrifice herself to bring Evangeline back only to kill Evangeline again?

In my opionion he looks to old to be the typical human male romance.

Therefore one of two is another human male companion. The question is Cole or Dorian?

Dorian for the mage and a female character for the rogue - I dont care what race she is, but i hope they didnt make the female to male ratio 3:6 that is absolutely ridiculous.

All the known candidates for the remaining spots (Dorian/Mustache Guy, Cole, and Cullen) are male humans. Of course, it is perfectly possible that at least one of the two that are yet to be revealed are completely unknown to us.

So i guessed 7/9 correct..... If the other two are as i said i am 9/9 and expect my free collectors edition delivered ! Aside from all this, i really hope at least one of them is woman.
