Cole and (probably) Cullen.

He's appeared in multiple pieces of concept art, was used (along with Cassandra) to demonstrate how armour changes on different companions, and I'm pretty sure he was in a background gameplay video during an early trailer/video diary.

 

He hasn't been officially confirmed. But I don't think anyone is doubting that he's a companion. I'll be incredibly surprised if it turns out he isn't.

 

It's just about possible that bearded companion guy is someone other than bearded warden guy, I think.  I don't believe it, but it's not beyond reasonable doubt yet.

All the known candidates for the remaining spots (Dorian/Mustache Guy, Cole, and Cullen) are male humans. Of course, it is perfectly possible that at least one of the two that are yet to be revealed are completely unknown to us.

I'll be happy with whoever they are to be honest. I'm just saying more dwarf never hurt anybody.

If they are trying to balance class and gender, I'm guessing Cole will be the final rogue and the final mage will be an unknown female. I'm crossing my fingers that she's a Tevinter magister.

I was really hoping for Cullen, alas. Still, given his role in DA2, he could appear as a major NPC. A dwarf from Kal Sharok was also on my companion wishlist, maybe we will get to visit the city at least?

Funny. I believe that if they were indeed trying to balance class and gender, Dorian (I'm just going to call him that until we know more, OK?) and a female rogue are more likely. Cole has been AWOL for a while now.

Certainly not opposed to Dorian! We haven't heard anything about Dorian OR Cole since the survey leak, IIRC.

Mr. Moustache hasn't been confirmed to be the same character as Dorian, and the "evidence" that he is isn't compelling enough to convince me, sorry.

That's what I said I would be calling Mustache Guy Dorian until we knew more. And frankly, I think it's as good a guess as any, since there was a concept art of that guy in the leaked survey and the only other one that didn't seem to be referenced in the text was Scribe Girl's. Plus, he looks like a mage.

Therefore one of two is another human male companion. The question is Cole or Dorian?

Well Dorian is supposedly "brazen and clever" and there's just something about our moustache guy that screams bold (especially with that facial hair) and witty. 

 

And also I've been most excited about him since I saw the concept art of Mr. Moustache with the staff and sword, resembling an arcane warrior.

The only other possibilities that we know of are Cullen and "Dorian". I suspect a great many people don't want the former, if only because he's been around consistently since DAO. Someone new would be preferable.

I assumed Cole WOULD be a LI because David later tweeted that he's resigned himself to the fact that he will have to willfully ignore all the fanwank over a certain character...

No. People are just guessing Cole is the unspecified  character Gaider has been waiting years to write, since Gaider wrote Asunder. (And also he's a really interesting character. We were left with more questions about Cole than anything else after Asunder)

 

But we pretty much ran out of solid evidence for the remaining 2 companions so everyone is kind of saying different things. We really dont know though.

Well, he appeared in the leaked survey. And we know a character from Asunder will be included (though not necessarily as a companion). DG has mentioned him a couple times in his blog. Nothing substantial, really, but it is a guess as good as any.

'Certain character' doesn't mean Cole. And if Cole is a companion and not a LI people would still write fanfiction. He specifically said he's against it, so there are no reason for him to write it.

BioWare has said repeatedly that the survey contains false and outdated information.

 

It's fun to use for speculation, but it's definitely not fact and it certainly doesn't confirm anything or anyone.
