I read it earlier in this thread.  I think that was the name from the leaked survey.   Besides, I'm a huge fan of names, even fan names, over "Blonde Elf Girl" or "Scribe Girl" or the most awkward "Dramatic Hands Mustache Guy."

Aww, you don't have to go anywhere.  Besides, I think Jasmine is the second prettiest out of the "Disney Princess" line.

Based on the sorts of things our first-glance treatment has afforded us, I can't quite imagine myself playing the sort of character that'd be a good fit for Vivienne, so if she's an LI and doesn't greatly diverge from her currently-apparent stances I won't experience it firsthand.

I don't mind, though. I've had five Mass Effect runs and I've still only romanced three characters. I love damn near everyone in that series to death but there are several LIs I don't think I'll ever get around to pursuing.

That sounds like me with Morrigan.  To be fair, part of the reason why is because I could never find a look for a male Warden that I liked.  I could have gone with the Equal Love mod, but I prefer being her friend.

I agree it would be pretty awesome if she her name is actually Jasmin. It's a really beautiful name.

That's okay, she and Varric are both being written by Mary Kirby and she is notorious for writing the unromancable. So, house odds on one of them not being a LI.

I think Varric has slimmer chances of being an LI than Vivienne as he's a dwarf. I kinda want him to be an LI, though. I know I would eventually roll a female rogue who'd be all over the man.

I just Instagram'd my TV since I play on PS3 anyway. Hah. I have it in one of the last pages of my Origins playthrough thread. Man, that thing was so quiet I never would have anticipated such participation for DA2. I met you there!

DA2 happens to be my favorite game, and to see someone on BSN who actually also enjoys it *gasp* Well, how could I not sit and grin as I watched you play the game

In the screenshot with the troll fight, there's an unknown dual-wielding rogue (looks male, could be Sera though--it is a blurry shot) and the back of what looks to be a blond templar but could be either the Inquisitor or, if the blurry emblem is misleading my eyes to see the wrong thing, the Bearded Warden (the figure however does appear to be blond).  However if they were to be Cole and Cullen, where is the Inquisitor in that shot?

 

I really think that the last two are under wraps for a reason.  We likely won't find out who they are until some of us have played the game.  And, they may also be late-game companions who will be a surprise once we acquire them, maybe even a secret.  Unless Moustachio is one of the final two, I doubt either of them will be love interests.

 

For that matter, even though we're all pretty sure we'll get Beardy Warden and Sera, I don't think there's been a screenshot of Sera (am I wrong?).

 

My guess remains:  Moustachio (Dorian?) and Unknown, with Cullen being a good possibility, or possibly a female character we haven't even seen a leak of.

 

I think by now you all know I'd love to see Cole in the game, particularly since he'd be a perfect tie-in with the plot.  But, I don't see it happening--unless, again, the dual-wielder in that troll combat screenshot is Cole and not Sera.  If that is Cole or maybe Sera (doesn't look feminine but it could be her), and the guy on the right is Cullen (the symbol doesn't look like the Warden's griffin, but it's blurry and I could be wrong)... Well, where's the Inquisitor?  So I think the person on the far right of that shot is the Inquisitor.  However, just having Cole possibly appear in the screenshot doesn't mean he's a companion; he could join up with the party temporarily for a quest, for instance, if that's even him.  It could also be an entirely different dual-wielding male rogue who hasn't been introduced to us yet or even leaked (see above guess of Unknown).

 

I'm certainly not anti-Cullen.  If they can add him in and make him interesting, I'd be happy to have him along.  I wasn't that enamored of him in DA2, but characters can grow and companions have the best opportunity for growth of all.  A templar would definitely fit along with the party.  And yet, with the templars having related Chantry Military functions to Seekers, albeit Seekers are considerably more Serious Business, we sort of already have that function in Cassandra.  As for romance, well, I'll just be happy if Solas is an option and I end up actually liking his personality.

 

For the Cullen fans, I hope you get your wish.  I just wish you wouldn't drown the thread in your wish for Cullen!

And maybe a keeper character with plants spells.

I enjoy it too.  While certain elements like The Cave are tiresome, I loved the companions.  I thought the banter was actually better than a lot of Origins.

 

 

I know that is hard but I will love if a bard character appears with a magical music instrument as weapon and songs talents to use in battles.

And maybe a keeper character with plants spells.

It's another person stating that the Cullen fans are the loudest on this thread.  Truthfully, when it comes to him, I've seen far more people complaining about him than anything.

 

Besides, I know there is a lot of people like me: We could take or leave Cullen, but we have been requesting a Templar POV for our party in Inquisition.  To be honest, I'm still holding out some hope that one of the unrevealed companions is a lady.
