Cullen is a party member. Said so in that PS4 interview that was released yesterday. And that bearded warden fellow is one too. He is named Morrick. He has an unique ability tied to his falcon (can see it in one of the pics). The falcon can scout for the party etc. I`d post the link to the interview, but I am sure it is allready posted several times allready.

Maybe the falcon can actually be used for that, though. He does have one in one of the pics, after all.

I would still think the Scribe Girl is really unlikely to be a companion. Cullen was already a warrior, so it stands some reasoning that they could have still changed their mind and made him a party member. The Scribe Girl looks like she's always been visualized as an administrative character. I just can't imagine they would represent her with a clipboard and quill if she was ever envisioned as a combative character. Why would that happen other than her being imagined as someone who kept the books, or something similar? There's just no application for a combative party member that would require her to need those items. It makes basically no sense that this would be her main representation, while the other guys are drawn with obvious weapons, besides Cullen. If she was imagined originally as an administrative character, I kind of doubt they overhauled her character enough to make her a rogue, or something, instead. At that point she might as well be any new character.

Though, Cullen's outfit there is based on real DA:I concept art. It was the picture of him in the leaked survey:
 
(I think it's... pretty significant here that Cullen and the Scribe Lady are the only two characters not pictured holding weapons.)

I love the character. I think some people believe that liking means that you want to be friend with the character as opposed to appreciate what they bring to the story. In the case of Petrice, I really love to hate her...

Matt Rhodes and I think.... someone else... on twitter said that the falcon isn't in the game. ((because, yes there are several concept arts with the Inquisitor with a falcon... I think it was supposed to be another visual cue they were the Inquisitor. Or Matt Rhodes was on a bird kick))

I love her too, yo. Probably my favorite antagonist in DA2.

The way she was able to play upon the peoples fear of the Qunari and incite action against them while remaining at arms length to it with no evidence she was even involved was really well done, It had a level of cunning that no other antagonist could match IMO.

I hope we get a female dwarf or a female Qunari. As for the other slot, I think it's Cullen.

Hmm. It would actually be fun to see a villain get away with something. And escape. Popping up in a game later on.

In my first two DAI playthroughs, she will be alive. Just to cause trouble for my pro-Qunari Elfquisitor and my qunari mage Inquisitor with her anti-Qunari schism with any luck.

She can actually get away with it (sort of, she get demoted, but still alive in Act3 talking about doing a schism with the Chantry...she is totally crazy).
