I hope that Cullen will be one of the companions and that the other companion will be a female. Maybe the Scribe lady?
But if Cole is to be one the companions (I will admit he is a very interesting character), I really hope he isn't a love interest. It just wouldn't feel right.
And I too hope that Rhys and Evangeline pop up as NPCs too.

I feel like they should do something crazy and show how most mages aren't crazy awesome casters. Perhaps give him/her minor spells, crafting, and lots of buffs along with a really sharp wit that lets you talk out of a bunch of situations you wouldn't normally be able to. That probably wouldn't happen but a full on support character could be pretty cool. If not then I hope it's some sort of mage tank that wears heavy armor and is bringing back the Arcane Warrior specialization.
Also I don't think we'll get Cullen as we seem full up on Warriors if Warden guy is truly on board
I'm not a fan of dwarves, but we're definitely overdue for a female dwarf party member, especially since Sigrun only starred in an expansion and not a full game.
Me? I question everything until it's confirmed. Even the Grey Warden. We've had temporary party members in the past, so maybe this is one of those instances. Where you have a specific party member just for a quest. So, I wouldn't consider him confirmed until DA says so.
I'd really, really love to see at least one more lady person on the team. I need another lady person on the team. Desperately.

It's not that they're not awesome, but we already have one this game and they don't tend to double up class and gender unless they need it for the narrative (like Wynne/Morrigan presenting opposite sides of the Circle argument). We've had a female rogue in every game and just... I dunno. Yawn? I guess. Unless it is someone like Tallis or a Qunari female... pass.
Unless, of course, they do an Errol Flynn type rogue. I'd be all over that. Male or female (if male, voiced by Cary Elwes, please and thank you).

I knoooow, but we have Leliana, Isabela, Sigrun, and Sera... just kinda... meh about the idea of another one. But lady mages and lady warriors? I can't get enough of those. That's all I am saying. I'd rather the double up be in the warrior or the mage class because chances are it'd be another dual wielding rogue since Varric and Sera have the bows and arrows covered.

Every game also has at least a female mage, a male warrior, and a male rogue. The odd combinations seem to be male mage and female warrior, and we already have those in DAI. So I don't really see why you would be tired of that specific mix

I'm hoping for a third mage and a third rogue. Ideally, said mage would be the 'Dorian' character concept, since he was the one I found the most interesting.
As for the rogue, I don't care.
