I think he looks more like a warrior, really:
I think he is a warrior but the arishok had that sword and has the same build but seeing 2 pics of him with only one sword gives him a good chance he is a warrior

I agree. Most likely, the Iron Bull is a warrior.
Yeah, I don't think we've ever seen Iron Bull dual wielding, right? Just holding one massive sword.
I'm in the camp of those who think that he's in the game, is a companion, and is a warrior.
I'm still not convinced that we are going with a 3/3/3 class breakdown, but it could work out that way if DHMG is a mage, but not Dorian, and Cole is a rogue. Or, of course, if there is still a companion floating around who we've not yet seen at all.
This makes me wonder, why would Bioware completely hide one of the companions? It would have to be an active decision at this point, so what reason would lead to that?

Technically, they are hiding 4: grey warden, elven archer and the last two. People seeing things they shouldn't see isn't part of their marketing.
Well, not really. Didn't they put out the gameplay footage with the warden and "Sera"? That came from Bioware directly, right? Plus, they are both in concept art that Bioware released. Also, the concept art about customization of armor had both the warden and Cassandra and that was also right from them, correct? And, if people's opinions are correct, and DHMG is actually a companion, he's in several concept art pieces.
I guess my point was not so much that they haven't announced them yet, because that I understand. It's part of the marketing strategy. It was more around the fact that if the eight companions that people think we are getting (Cass, Varric, Viv, Solas, Iron Bull, Warden, "Sera", and DHMG) and the three possible advisors (Cullen, Leliana, and Scribe Girl) are all showing up in the concept art, why hasn't the 9th companion shown up. Those 12 characters are the only ones that we're seeing, so who is the 13th character? That was more of my point. Of course, that's making several assumptions, which I'm doing for simplicity's sake.
I hope that this post made it clearer and not more complicated!
Dat Iron Bull back doe. Unf.

Amen. I understand why some people would find that too much, but I certainly don't. It's about time we get some beef in these games!

Yes, that very, very brief snippet of footage came from the Game Informer Combat Video from their August DAI articles.
From 1:15 to 1:24, you can see Sera and the Grey Warden.

God help us if we get Iron Bull and the Grey Warden.

Double Amen to this, I really can't wait to see his ingame model
, but so far he's setting off all the Unf!! bells

David said as much here. Their definition of "unrevealed" is very different to this thread's. They've only shown off three companions in any real detail - Cassanda, Varric and Vivienne. Solas, the Iron Bull and Sera have been "announced", but only if you read magazine previews or followed the threads here. Everyone else is "hidden", unless you want to go through concept art and pause videos at certain times to find new characters.
I don't know who they plan to move onto next, actually, but I will say that "new" is not judged in terms of people on our forums who collect every scrap of information and consider followers they actually know little about--or have only seen a screenshot of--to be old news.
If you're waiting for something completely new that you've never even heard a hint of, and you're someone who's been spoiling themselves silly by analyzing every scrap you could possibly unearth, you may very well be waiting for quite some time.
That last bit might mean they'e deliberately concealing one of the characters, by consciously never releasing any art or gameplay appearances that they feature in, period.
Given that something similar has happened with Bioware's games in the past (Loghain, Legion) I don't think it's out of the question that after the survey leak and a whole mountain of other information, they will want some things to be completely new for people when they start the game.
...and who said we haven't seen the 9th person? It might be in a concept art somewhere...
Well, I can't think of anyone else who it might be. Outside of the blood mage apostate lady, is there anyone we've seen in concept art who we haven't discussed yet?

Yeah, this is what I meant. I'm putting us in the latter category that Gaider mentions. We're the ones who are spoiling ourselves. I wasn't talking about official announcements.
Your examples of Loghain and Legion are interesting to me. Both of those characters are recruited very late in the game and, one of whom, is optional. I wonder if the "hidden" companion is going to also be one who shows up late. Of course, pure speculation with little to go on.

What would I do without you?

Hooded dual dagger dude in the Watcher concept art (some thing he is Cole, but we have no indicate who that is and are missing a melee rogue).
In-flame lady (who could be the blood mage apostate...or not).
There is also a concept art in World of Thedas that shows up on the game concept art filmed by Game Informer too. It shows the back of a single person looking at a dragon's firestorm, but that character could just be a dragon hunter (and we already have one in the party). There are also concept art in WoT that shows "Sera", "Iron Bull" and a warrior dwarf with a big axe...

Hooded dual dagger dude is the Rogue Inquisitor.
Flame lady reminds me a lot of Adrian, so I'm not sure if she's a blood mage.
Bearing in mind a lot of the early concept art like that is just to give world flavour, rather than detail any confirmed characters (which may not have been decided when the art was created).
Also, weren't those images of "Sera" (with the mohawk braid), Iron Bull, and the dwarf from DA2?

That's good to know. I get those confused. Was it the original "Sera" with the mohawk braid or was it the new Sera with the shoulderlength blonde hair? Is there other DA: I art in WoT?

It was the original Sera. And you know that concept in the Fade of an Inquisitor with a dagger pointed forward, and there's someone standing behind him? That was in WoT as well.
Edit: ![]()
Also, I'm pretty sure this one was in WoT in the section about Spirits and the Fade

I think Mike has said in the past that they're going to deliberately keep large parts of the story under wraps before launch, and that might include one or two of the companions. I think it'd be a tall order to keep *all* references of the companion out of concept art and gameplay before release, but they might want to do it anyway.
We also have to keep in mind that just because it seems very likely that the Warden/DHMG (etc) are companions, it doesn't mean Bioware are going to talk about them or even mention them between now and launch. I think they probably will, but it's not like an obligation...

I think to me the bolded part above is the stuff that I'm talking about. As more and more information becomes leaked and/or released, I think that it's going to be really hard to avoid all of the references/glimpses/etc. of a character who is important enough to be a companion. Either they would have to be doing it deliberately (which might be because of a particular reason that we aren't privy to) or it probably wouldn't happen. It makes me wonder if we're overlooking something, if the character will either play a much less significant (which is why we don't see them much) or more significant (which is why they are keeping them under wraps) role, or it's all just a coincidence.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything official until much closer to the release. Follower Fridays is the only hope I really have that we'll hear who they all are beforehand, but even then, it seems likely we'll have 1 or 2 that can't get covered in that timeframe.
