Wait, 2 companions left? Before leaving for work this morning people were saying we had 3 left.

Who did we pick up over the last 12 hours?

 

Vivienne (M), Cassandra (W), Varric ®, Solas (M), Sera ®, Iron Bull (W/R?), Feathers/Grey Warden (W/R?)

 

Leaves two. Possible mage if they decide to give us three mages for a first, but more likely another W and R.

Aye. I think her character kit states as much. Also, the whole "Cass is a warrior, you can build up her skill tree to turn her into a one woman battering ram *demonstrates by having Cass break down a door with her shield*" thing.

Hmm Cullen(warrior) or Cole( rogue mage) or an unknown male character for the first slot, the second one is likely to be a female character of an unknown class which would put the male female ratio at 5:4 though I kinda doubt the class ratios will be 3:3:3 rather 4:3:2 in someway with warriors having 4.

I'm on the fence about both Cole or Cullen being a companion and doubt we'll get both due to it further tiping the male and female ratio to far, they both could be npc's.

I think mustache might be Rhys aswell, and the other one could be Dorian if he's still in the game and he probably never was a companion rather a fairly important npc which might be why he was in the survey.

They weren't to specific on the total number of characters from Asunder who will be in DAI nor did they say important one's either, they said at least one character from Asunder would show up and when asked if more would be in DAI all they said was that was all they would say about it. So we could see more of them in DAI.

Personally, I got my money on Adrian as the last mage companion and the character from Asunder they said would show up.  While I don't agree with everything she did in the book (will not post spoilers), I think she would make an awesome counter to Vivienne.  Adrian is the complete opposite to Vivienne in almost every way, she is very pro-independence for mages, hot tempered, very forceful personality, and no where near as obsessed with her clothes.  I think having the pair of them around would make for some very outstanding companion dialogue, not to mention strong proponents for their respective viewpoints.

Looks like he uses a sword and a shield, and if (what i think we know) weapons are restricted to classes, he is a warrior.

Btw, is that a dagger wielding rouge in the background? and if the one with the "green" hair is Sera, is that the "last" rouge? (i don't think it's Varric, he/she is to tall for that imo).

Now that you say there's a shield, I could see that. But it also looks like it could a plant or something. But he does look more like a warrior type than a rouge type, just with his face/build. But so does Iron Bull. So if they're both companions and both warriors, I guess the last 2 companions should hopefully be a rogue and a mage. Which, signs seem to point that if Cole is a companion, he'd be a rogue....so we're maybe missing a female mage?

I would prefer a human female. It would be interesting if we have temporary companions for certain missions. Like Morrigan or Leliana for just a couple missions. Then people can have their female dwarf. I so do not want a female dwarf. Wouldn't mind a female Qunari though. I just hope the characters clash on viewpoints and personalities. Make it fun and interesting.

As for that being a plant, i think it's just a shield with the seeker symbol on it . For Cole being a companion and being a rouge, i have no idea XD. i haven't read Asunder so i have no thoughts on that

I would be pleasantly surprised if I actually am surprised by at least one or two of the final companions...right now it seems like almost everyone is taking Feathers the Warden as fact, and Dorian/Cole/Cullen as the final two plus a spare.  Not that I'm actually opposed to any of them, but a never before seen character, or at least someone unexpected, would be nice, especially if it's a female character.

 

My personal dream companion is Shayle of House Cadash in dwarf form.  I know that's not happening, but wouldn't that be amazing??? SIGH

I'm admittedly a bit of a Cullen fan girl (*blush*) and I love Grey Wardens as a rule, but ditto for the above, definitely. It'd be great to be surprised and Shayle in dwarf form.... man, I'd love to see this even if it's just a cameo.

Wasn't he less like a rogue and more like a dual-wield warrior (which, btw, I really hope is an in-game option for the warrior class again), but the game mechanics of DA2 required he be coded as a rogue for forms sake? Now I wish my game guide wasn't in storage so I could look up what hIs class was listed as, hrrm.

Regardless, a rogue class Qunari would be fab in my book. *hopes*

Cassandra - Warrior

Varric - Rogue

Vivienne - Mage

Blackbeard/Stroud/Grey Warden - Warrior

Sera - Rogue

Solas - Mage

Cullen - Warrior

Iron Bull - Rogue (I say rogue, dammit! *shakes fist*)

??? - ???

 

The last one could be someone entirely new, but if BW wants to continue the tradition of having a "Spirit" companion of sorts, my last guess would be:

 

Cole - Rogue

 

Sure, that would give us 6 males, 3 females, including 3 warriors, 4 rogues, and 2 mages, but what can yeh do, eh?

 

Also, we still need a "traditionally" attractive human male LI, and I just don't see it in Blackbeard or "Dorian," if he was to be the only human aside from BB. This does suck 'cos I would totally hop on the LI train for Beardy, especially if he was voiced by Stephane Cornicard aka Stroud/Riordan/Hubert. DAT VOICE.
