At this point the best guess for the third mage is Dramatic Hands Moustache Guy, from the War Room art and survey. He is possibly 'Dorian'.

That's what i thought aswell . And about the LI's, for me right now i could take anyone off; Solas, GW, Iron bull, or DHMG, and one of them must be an LI right? so i'm pretty much set up i guess ^^
We are still not sure about Iron Bull's class.
IB was confirmed as a warrior at the Pax Panel.
They have actually confirmed magenumberthree? That must be the sweetest thing I've heard in decades! Now all they need to do is keep the gender distribution in balance and I shall die a happy gal.

Provided that there is a male companion LI (which is really, really likely), yeah. At least one of them should be an LI. Maybe two of them if there are 6 LI's this go around.

Not really, when it actually seemed that way with Cullen confirmed as a romance, we almost immediately got the 3/3/3 slit confirmed, thus excluding a class imbalance.
I always was certain we would get a even class ratio, my hope for an even gender ratio however, is being more and more challenged.
At this point, I'm starting to find it more and more unlikely that there is another companion out there who we haven't seen anywhere (concept art, leaked surveys, official announcements, gameplay footage, magazine articles, etc.).
It's really not that unlikely though. Vivienne wasn't in the survey, and there was nothing suggesting she even existed until after her official reveal.

My point was that without the 3/3/3 split confirmation, it would look like we had 4 warriors companions because that is what the evidences were suggesting. Right now evidences might suggest a 6/3 gender splits, but like the class split, the evidences might be misleading.

He was seen in the GI reveal last summer, but it is doubtful they rotated him out considering the game was supposed to release last Fall originally. While they got more time to add what they had planned, I doubt that included taking stuff already implemented out...

from what i know this vid with the in-game footage was release on the 17 of aug 2013, that was the latest time i think. (pause at 1.19)
So if they scraped, him they "wasted" a lot of time and resources on both the in-game model, and all the art since they use this as a reference when they make the game right?...but hey, they could have said "nah, he dosen't fit the story we want to tell anymore" and scrapped him...who knows...but it's not likely imo

Right, which is why I say that it's possible. However, we've gotten a lot of sources for finding companions at this point though and we haven't seen hide nor hair of another possible companion except for DHMG and Cole. As much as I'm really not interested in Cole, it's looking like these two are possibly going to the companions. Again, it's not certain. It's not even probable, I would say at this point. However, it's even less likely that another companion is out there and we haven't seen him or her in any way. Unless, that is, s/he is being kept a secret right now, which I could totally get behind.

Yeah, I wasn't using the survey as the sole source of evidence, though. There is also the gameplay footage, the concept art, the official trailers, the magazine stories, and the PAX information. The survey was just one of those sources.

I think the Warden was last seen in pre-alpha footage, so I guess it's possible. But he's actually been in several things: the gameplay footage, the concept arts, the leaked survey pictures, and the armor customization art. It seems to me like he was a pretty well-established character if he's so well integrated into the concept work. Doesn't mean he's out, though.
It was too late to add new companions before mid 2012 - that's when David roughly came up with the concept for Maevaris Tilani, and he's pointed out that it was too late even then for her to be in Inquisition. I doubt they've changed the party roster for years now.
If we saw the Grey Warden in the game in September 2013, he's in the game. Period. No way they'd change that, imo.
For the gender balance issue, I think some people have pointed out there are A LOT more female NPC characters and faction leaders that are likely to pop up than male characters. Here's a list of characters that either we know will, or might, show up in DA:I -
Female characters; Morrigan, Leliana, Scribe Girl, Celene, Briala, the Divine, Fiona, Adrian, Flemeth, Evangeline
Male characters; Cullen, Gaspard, Alistair, Rhys, Michel
They have a waaaaay bigger pool of female NPCs to work with. So, maybe they're balancing with the companion group and there will still be a lot of heavily feature characters of both genders?

But I don't even understand this. We've seen absolutely nothing of Cole besides they survey, which was clearly incomplete. Our knowledge of DHMG comes from two pieces of concept art and again, this survey which is hardly reliable. The fact that Cole and DHMG's addition to the game would make the gender ratio 6:3 is much more convincing that we won't have both of them than any of this "evidence".
I want Scribe Girl as a companion. Just throwing it out there.
I think new warrior companions are basically a scratch, at this point. We have more than we know what to do with, as is. lol
I think The Masked Empire actually will be important to DA:I, though. I think the difference between Maevaris being too late and these characters is that Asunder and The Masked Empire were most likely written with the existing plot of DA:I in mind. They were written in the right location, both in the time gap between DA2 and DA:I. I think they both exist to fill in gaps. So, I think it's very likely we will see characters from Asunder and The Masked Empire in the game. I don't think most of them are likely as companions, though. That's mostly because the majority of the main characters were too enmeshed in individual factions and I think they'll remain with them as individuals you can side with or against, rather than leaving their faction to join the Inquisition.
