I believe the plan is to do the full reveal on the last Friday of each month, and give a teaser screenshot of the companion on the Friday before that.

That does imply they'd show a screenshot today, and do the full reveal next week.

Another magazine confirmed Solas, 'Sera' and Iron Bull although we were all pretty sure about them all already.  I'm betting it'll be one of these three, since 6 companions is quite a few to have known this early and they probably won't reveal another one.  Probably not Solas since Viv was a mage...

What do you mean with 'full' reveal? What was shown of Vivienne the last Friday (Kirby's words on her plus the letter)?

As in, on the third Friday in March they announced the Follower Friday thing and posted a Viv screenshot, but no other information.

The actual reveal of the character came a week later spread over three days, when they showed off more screenshots and had those interviews with Mary Kirby and other devs.

I think he's joking about removing companions altogether, not replacing them.  1 male and 1 female per tree, if you take out those 3.

 

Yeah - I should have clarified my sarcastic comment by indicating that only six non-DLC full-time companions would remain in DAI (just like like DAA and DA2), if Cole, DHMG and Feathers were scrapped from DAI to make an even male/female split.

Considering the warrior and mage slots are likely already filled (Cass/Iron Bull/Feathers or Cullen and Vivi/Solas/DHMG respectively), I just hope for another female rogue in addition to Sera in order to balance the party gender ratio out. Ideally another female elf.

Where did this "Feathers" nickname for the Grey Warden come from? I've only seen that for the last few days and it seems to have come from nowhere.

And hopefully if we have another female rogue companion it will be Sigrun. And hopefully if it is Sigrun they'll redesign her face so it looks like less like an abortion.

"Feathers" was a nickname that Sheryl Chee called him once on either the boards or twitter.  I kind of hate it, but it seems to have gained momentum because there's no short nickname for him (like DHMG).
