4/6/4/6/6 or 5/6/3/6/6 or 3/6/5/6/6 or simply skip Decoy or Shield Boost all together?  If I was to skip something I'm more likely to skip Decoy.   Also what weapon(s) should I use?  Your Opinions would be Helpful.

This build might not be the most powerful, but it works fine for me on gold. (Acolyte for Phantoms, you can skip it.)

6/6/6/6/0 or 6/6/6/5/3.

Fitness gains you almost nothing on the volus, the Sentinel perhaps least of all. Abuse his light-melee cloak, keep moving, and keep your pets cast. Don't worry so much about cooldowns -- the only thing you're ever likely to need to cast urgently is Shield Boost, and if you have to spam it, you're doing something wrong -- so take any weapon with which you're comfortable. I prefer the Talon or Wraith, or Hurrdurr if I'm feeling lazy, but you can use something much heavier without suffering overmuch (e.g. Claymore, Crusader, BW).

I go 6/6/6/5/3 on him.  I feel that that little tad of fitness helps him live a bit better.  PPR with incin ammo, suicide shock drone to pop off the FEs.  Light melee cloak for all your PPR firing... And a shock decoy to ****** things off with I also drop from within cloak to draw agro to it not me for when cloak breaks.

That's almost exactly the same as my build. I've been thinking the Venom might be quite a lot of fun on him though.

Of course -- the Venom is fun on every character!

Y u no use piercin'?

Seriously though, that's what I use. Venoms is soooo fun, especially against geths idiots ganging on the decoy. Arc Pistol, Wraith, Executioner and Claymore are cool as well.

6/6/3/6/5

Place your decoy and drone, shoot your Claymore and save shield boost for emergencies.

Dear lord you must use the Claymore if not for efficiency for hilarity. I half expect the Volus to fly backwards like a shotgun midget while using it.

Or to drag his Typhoon or Spitfire behind him.

4/6/6/6/4

Disruptor ammo, Acolyte + Piranha.

Tip: Place drone next to Phantom, Acolyte shot, then cloak. She will target the Drone and kill herself by detonating a Tech Burst.

Don't know what to do with a kit? Spec it anyway you like, and just add Venom.

Works on any kit.

Use this. You can carry platinum pugs with it.

Drone+Decoy just totally makes Geth, Phantoms and other annoying units stupid. Prime them with your incendiary Acolyte, and if they destroy the decoy/drone you will get a nice FE. It's really hilarious watching Bombers/Phantoms just literally destroying themselves.  Also abuse iframes from SB, and spam heavy melee (cloak) to get away from sh!tty situations.

6/6/6/6/0 with a lighter weapon, or 4/6/6/6/4 with ~+100% or less (PPR).

I use this. i'm not a big fan of decoy on him as the drone is already good enough at getting the attention of enemies and off host the extra fitness is very noticeable imo

Isn't it kinda lame that a consumable is way more effective than actually specing into "fitness"

Skip fitness. Take Particle Rifle.. cloak, cast both pets and hose down all the garbage they attract.

Spec weapon damage in the passives because his powers do crap damage on their own. Your gun will do 98% of the work.

This is how I have mine speced. It's more of a fun character for me cause seeing a volus hold a big heavy sniper rifle is always hilarious. I also find sniping with him a challenge cause you gotta aim up a bit more. Consumables are a personal preference really.

I wouldn't recommend skipping fitness if you normally play off host. You will get downed before you realize you're being shot at, guaranteed.
