Megan Fox as April O'Neal, I don't even…..
She may have good looks, but she appears to not even know what a reporter is, let alone 'act' like one.
I actually liked the trailer.
I actually liked the trailer.
I guess I can take solace in the fact the the Turtles are Mutants again (I saw the Ooze) instead of aliens.
But this trailer does not give me high hopes, I mean watch a Transformers trailer and replace the Robots with Turtles, its the exact same trailer.
I need to find some Classic Turtles to sooth my nerves

Ah… classic Michelangelo
The words "Megan Fox" and "Act" should never be used in the same sentence unless they are divided by the word "Can't".
I was willing to give the movie the benefit of a doubt until I saw her show up.
Maybe I am showing my age, and maybe I am coming across like a cantankerous old man; something in the same vein as "Get off my lawn, with your loud music, and your baggy clothes!"; but I never understood why Hollywood has the continual insistence of putting CGI characters alongside real actors/actresses.
In my mind CGI should only be used to help reinforce a shot, not be its entire foundation. Not only does having full blown CGI characters interacting with human actors take away from the immersion factor; I see these new "Turtles" and can instantly tell they are an effect; but they also make it harder for the human actors to interact with something that's not really there.
Sure you might not have seen the 1990 Turtles doing crazy, Bay-awesome (see explosion) fight scenes, but they were an actual physical actor, they existed with the other human actors, and I found I could identify and empathize with the Turtles in rubber muppet suits better then I could with CGI cartoons.
My memory of this is very fuzzy, but wasn`t Shredder a shogun or something? I am pretty sure he wasn`t an amarican, that`s for sure.
The lack of pizza in the trailer.

Yeah. I saw the scientist (can't think of the actor's name) narrating the trailer and then we see the shot of him looking at the 'Shredder' costume I thought to myself: "Yeah he's going to be Shredder."
Which makes absolutely no sense. He's a caucasian scientist (lab coat and all) and he is supposed to be the Shredder, a master of ninjutsu and a Japanese warrior? What is he going to drink the Ooze and suddenly change race and learn how to do martial arts?
They're Mo-capped by live actors on set.Maybe I am showing my age, and maybe I am coming across like a cantankerous old man; something in the same vein as "Get off my lawn, with your loud music, and your baggy clothes!"; but I never understood why Hollywood has the continual insistence of putting CGI characters alongside real actors/actresses.

My question is where do you stand on full-on CGI animated films? Like the 2007 TMNT film.
Full-on CGI films are fine, everything is CGI so go wild and have crazy things happening alongside regular people. Its when you try to have a mix of CGI and the real world that you start to have problems. A CGI image in the background, something that helps strengthen the scene? Good. A CGI character that is fighting with a human actor, a CGI character that we are supposed to believe is real and that our human actor is in peril? Not so good.
At least films like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" acknowledged that the real world and cartoons are separate.

The turtles look like ****.
Wow right off the bat their is explosions... yep feels like a bay film. Oh the foot soldiers use guns!? The @#$%!? They're freaking Ninjas not some kind of Black Ops organizations. And look at the turtles!? They're are freaking huge!! How are they going to be adept at hiding!? And the their clothing and accessories doesn't exactly scream Ninja's to me either! And Shredder as a white business mogul? Sorry this guy has to be a Kagemusha of sorts for the real Shredder Oroku Saki, if not OH MY GOD!? And last there is Megan Fox as April O'Neal... I don't even... I'm done. I'll just red box it. Unfortunately I have the feeling it will be as successful as those terrible Transformers movies.
Plot-wise this seems to have a bit in common with the The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. Megan Fox is just plain wrong, and I can't even slightly agree with the "who cares if she's right for the role, she's hot" faction anymore. I really like William Fichtner, but a non-Japanese Shredder is also wrong. Also where's Splinter (okay, it was just a teaser, we'll see him eventually)? Besides that:
It's evolution, baby...!

That last picture legitimately looks like something from a horror movie.
Turtle Chainsaw Massacre II: Kowabunga.
To be fair, that's about the most unflattering picture available. I don't even mind the look of the Turtles as much as I feared. The "it's just a mask" thing was actually pretty Mikey, so I have quite some hope they got the personalities right. The only thing that worries me is their sheer size - I can't imagine it being helpful for a ninja to have the physique of the damn Hulk.
Casey Jones or GTFO.
Since my brother is a fan of the turtles, I'll probably end up seeing it with him. The Michael Bay tone is ridiculous, though.
Go ninja go ninja GO!

I want Donnie voiced by Cory Feldmen again.
He's like the Kevin Conroy to that character, anyone else is second.
