It'll be entertaining, but I don't quite see the best TMNT of all time here. They could prove me wrong, but we'll see.

I saw the trailer. I think it'll sell well, but my good memories of a fantastic TMNT movie lie with the original(which is free off YouTube). It'll definitely be a Michael Bay movie based on the contents: High Action, Dubstep-y Cut-To-Black trailers, and Megan Fox.

The best part is that the old live action trilogy can be watched on blu ray or a streaming program.
The various cartoon series can be watched on blu ray or a streaming program.
That CGI film from the Noughties can be watched on blu ray or a streaming program.
There is a Michael Bay film that will do it's own thing. Which is okay, because if I wanted a faithful depiction of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I'd just read the original gritty 1980's comics with English translation.

I don't know how it can be any worse than the plethora of aimless and generic superhero movies we get now. And the premise of TMNT was never anything special, so what the hell do people expect? For the IP to be 'ruined' it had to be original to begin with, and it was most certainly not original. I think nerds just like to whinge when their childhood IP's get adapted, no matter if the adaptation is good or not.

Same. Gotta agree with JeremyJahns. Bay is butchering a classic. Still, it might turn out to be a fine guilty pleasure movie so there's that.

When I saw Megan Fox faint in the end of the trailer, I thought from AlphaOmegaSin's words, "Acting 101".

A bunch of eight-foot-tall mutant "ninjas" fighting the Foot Clan mercenary company/obvious evil corporation analogue with indestructible shells?
Open mind, open mind, open mind...
Admittedly, I like Leo's design. Here's hoping they feature the Shredder clone fight just because.

Good to see Bay ruining franchises as normal, and also shoving Megan Fox in our faces. Oh well at least we have those great two original movies.
Also Shredder being played by an American, wtf!?

Michael Bay's movies don't even have that particular brand of awful, where it's actually quite satisfying to sit through, or rather subtle brilliance of Peter Jackson's earlier movies like Badtaste. What's interesting is how, like Uwe Boll, he seems to have gotten attached to a trend of adapting licensed products/universes into sorry excuses for cinema. So congratulations to him for now picking the beloved Turtles as his next target and condolences to fans of the old 90's cartoon like myself.

Well my condolences go out to you that cant accept those cartoons were nothing more then a cash grab of your parents wallets. Hey I was young then and loved them but that doesn't change anything.

The only thing that remotely felt like it belonged in a Ninja Turtles movie was the end with the mask. Not convinced by anything else I've seen so far, especially the design of the turtles. Could be worse I suppose, they could be aliens or something.

What is the point of this comment exactly? It makes no sense at all. Is it a comment on Bay's incompetence as a director? An inept critical statement towards love for 90s nostalgia perhaps? Who knows.

Gonna take that statement back - I meant to say Badtaste, not Braindead (since that was the one Jackson did). If one ignores the silly plot, costumes, none-actors, weak camera handling, and look at it as what it wants to be 'comedy-horror' then one will find some brilliance within.

I'm really disturbed by the selection of actors in the upcoming movies. Like Megan Fox in TMNT and the actors in the next Batman movie.

Only good thing I can say about their design is how it matches their character. Other that it's meh

The only thing I really like so far is Mikey. I kinda hate Donatello's looks, which is sad because traditionally he's my favourite. ![]()
Ah well, this spot actually made me believe I might end up liking the movie to some degree:
