Basically you get the "dagger strip" and brief foreplay then fade to black, and then you see Isabela seeming to put her clothes back on before talking to Hawke. Now that was a scene done right, and it showed nothing at all. I would bet that if every character got the Liara treatment, this thread wouldn't exist.

Ignoring the rather cheap shots you're throwing at me, I find sex scenes in general to be immature. Clothed or not. Yes sex is a common, everyday occurence. But it's also a private thing. It's very hard to pull off a scene like that without having a feeling of voyeurism.

What do I think will happen? It'll drag down the maturity of the game. That it won't be done tastefully, or maturely, but simply for fanservice. Or shock value. In short, I don't trust the video game industry (or the entertainment industry in general) to handle nudity in a mature, grownup manner. Same with graphic violence really.
Man, that glass pool, heck the entire Tower 49 was like a dreamhouse in the sky fit for Tron.

This I can agree with. My point in the OP was to challenge Bioware to do so and challenge Bioware to improve and do a proper job on an adult subject in an adult manner.
And if that includes portraying sex in a realistic manner, then so be it.

Ya, I'm in the same boat (ship?). I didn't have a problem with Miranda's or Samara's outfits (and this is an issue I have with most of the characters in ME2). It's when they run into battle in their casual wear.

To me, it's not necessarily all about nudity or no nudity, explicit or not explicit. It's about appropriate and stylistically smart representation of actions and behaviors. When it gets to a comical, nonsensical, or seemingly stupid level, I can't like it.
Yes, me too. I would just like to see some common sense. For example, if they couldn't show blood in the game they wouldn't have head decapitations because it wouldn't make sense for there to be no blood when someone's head gets blown off. Likewise it doesn't make sense to have shower scenes and sex scenes if you've decided to keep everyone's clothes on.
The only scenes that stick out to me as particularly "bad" are the Traynor bra-shower scene and most of the love scenes in Dragon Age Origins where they appeared to be engaged in full on intercourse while wearing (apparantly crotchless) underwear.
I'd go with the pool scene from the movie Oblivion, for one of the best romance scenes in a Sci Fi movie.
The key is that if there is going to be nudity, it should feel natural and not be gratuitous. I'd argue that was the case with the Mass Effect 1 romance scenes as well, and that perhaps ironically, the lingering shot of the Consort or Miranda's clothed backsides, were far more gratuitous and juvenile.

Sex? Who with? Not my Shep, it's just supposed to be drinks with the girls. Such a look is completely at odds to my Shep and serves just as another perving gaze for the player.
