First of all, Liara is not 'explicitly' naked.
Secondly, I'm really not all that fond of the sex scenes with Liara and wouldn't mind the slightest having them scrapped.

I doubt you guys would complain about nudity being degrading, but I think there is an underestimation of how inanely insane some of the more socially justice minded individuals can get, or how vocal they can be to people in positions of power.
This clearly is not an issue of pushing any boundary but yet another case of whining over Liara getting something the other love interests don't. Is there an argument here that doesn't boil down to 'Liara got this, therefore I want it'?
Well, now you've twisted our evidence that supports our counter-claims to your points, and are trying to wring out a new arguments and insults with it.
Oh, yes... what we see here is tame compared to the "playersexual wars" over on the DA boards.I doubt you guys would complain about nudity being degrading, but I think there is an underestimation of how inanely insane some of the more socially justice minded individuals can get, or how vocal they can be to people in positions of power.

So why can't Bioware have those same scenes for other LI's?
If you ignore the issue of the considerable work, they could. But what von uber seemed to be demanding is sex scenes with explicit nudity. Which I would heavily frown on.
Indeed. It wasn't rated R. It was rated TV-MA, the TV equivalent to an R rating.
When he can't counter the argument he's confronted with, he'll frequently make up a new one, assign it to the person he's arguing with, counter that and demand the other person try to defend the straw position he assigned to them.Go re-read my first post. It isn't. Also why not try answering direct questions, as you demand of others.

Very true, but the current thread is kind of beside the point here right now. We're mostly arguing with David right now.

That's really the problem. David isn't trying to contribute to the conversation, he wants to scoff at people. And frankly it's getting a little annoying. I can't read a single thread that he's on without getting flickered by the scoff spittle that comes out of his posts.

I don't want them scrapped. I just want equal treatment to the others. I also would like them not interrupted by a dream of some dumb kid. Why aren't you fond of them? Do you find them troubling?

If its such considerable work, then why give her a scene and no one else? Why not just give her a fade-to-black like the others?
And you need to get this simple point through to your head - BioWare DID show a nude Liara in her ME3 romance scenes, while others got awkward scenes with clothes on that just didn't at all make sense.
Why the attention to one character while others get the lazy "underwear" treatment?
Because its not true. The scenes aren't awkward at all, they're just different scenes. Sounds like you want nudity because you want it.

Really?
Really?
Yes, really. I don't think having Trayner or Ashely in their underwear had any negative effect on their scenes at all. I just think you want to see nudity just because.

I think they were terribly awkward and unfit for each of the scenes.
And I think you're ascribing a point to someone else unjustly. You've really been turning into a David Mk. II in recent times. You already have a rather disturbing level of anthropocentric tunnel-vision, and here is where it's coming out.

As I said in another post. The scene with femshep in the shower fully clothed could've been different if Bioware showed femshep taking her clothes off while walking to the shower and she says 'She's interested".

Really? I thought the lack of it detracted from the scene. This is coming from a woman.
Was there a point to this? I don't find it to be one of the most groundshaking topics for games.
I did find it a little weird to constantly have a conversation with Mirandas Ass, but I didn't think that much about it.
I don't care that much about what types of romances they put in there. It's not my primary reason for playing the game but they can be entertaining aswell.
I feel fairly indifferent about most things these days it seems. Maybe I'm getting old.
For what it is worth I am 34. I'd like to think the that I can cope with seeing a naked body in digital form and not think the world is over. My g/f who is also 34, and with who I was discussing this over (much to her boredom) this afternoon thinks it's stupid that things like this:

are fine, but digital nipples? OH NO!!!
@ themikefest, finally getting the hang of it ![]()
In what world do you live in where people not only take showers in their underwear, but people also follow them in fully clothed. To me wanting to see nudity just because, how old do you think I am matter of fact how old are you? This is the 21st century my friend all it takes is a quick google search and I can have access to all the nudity in the world.
Exactly, you've got all the nudity in the world in RL, and then some more virtually at your fingertips in the internet, and yet a video game scene where someone follows someone else into a shower fully clothed, probably so they each undress the other, is just "so awkward" and blah blah blah whatever else the complaint is.

Good. Try using a bow every now and then and you will add to the fun.
