Hello everyone,

Not sure if my eyes are deceiving me, but it seems that Citadel DLC got reduced in pricing:

https://store.sonyen...itadel-ps3.html

I don't know if this is part of the Flash sale or if it's a glitch. If it's a glitch… please don't fix it… LOL….

Anyways, seeing how the price is now reduced, I'm wondering if I should consider getting another DLC on the side. I think I'll pass on Omega DLC because of the negative stuff I have heard about it, so it boils down to From Ashes or Leviathan.

I love how From Ashes will give you a new character, but I heard the mission is bogus. As for Leviathan, I heard that it really builds on the story, which I like. But I don't know what else I would get from the DLC.

Comments? I look forward to hearing from all of you :)

Omega is for those interested in combat. The story itself is weak. It will also give you a lot of items and experience points.

From Ashes can be completed in about 30 minutes or less. It´s really short and the strong point is the prothean/collector weapon, very useful both for you and squad-mates, and a new character that will offer many different iterations both inside the ship and during missions. Bringing Javik together will offer new insight in almost all of the missions. His presence can impact story scenes so much that I would recommend 2 different plays at least, one without him installed, and one with.

Citadel is drastically different from the rest of the game. It has a new mission, filled with comedic elements, The combat simulator is also very cool. And there are lots of interactive segments with your old and new squad-mates, and a chance to reunite them in a party.

Leaviathan has a very intriguing story and interesting combat. There are also some puzzle-adventure elements that enrich the experience while you play detective. It also has a great music score. Even thought Edi and Vega are the most important elements of the narrative, all squad-mates will have exclusive content and comments, including Javik. And later, near the end, while talking to the last character you encounter you will be able to ask more questions.

I would recommend all of them, except for Omega. This one was a big letdown. Not even the fact that is has new exclusive enemies (something that only Citadel can also claim) helps reducing the disappointment. And the fact that it´s Shep alone with Aria and a new Turian female (no squad-mates) does not help.

You can always start watching someone on youtube playing and then decide if you´re enticed enough to purchase.

While Citadel is my fave, the next would be Ashes, as it can affect the entire game, much like Shale did with the Stone Prisoner DLC for DAO. And Citadel was not to my liking initially, but it grew on me, and kept evolving with each varied playthrough. And the lines are rather memorable, like "Conrad Verner is a better Shepard than you!" Plus the encounters are tough, challenging, and fun.

Omega is a fine story, but spoiled a for me by needless profanity and possibly the worst Boss battle in the game. No tactics; just sheer luck and many reloads to win.

Having played them all I would get From Ashes and Leviathan instead of Citadel. Citadel is cool as a standalone game but I honestly found it to be very jarring in the overall context of ME3. It was kinda like reality was put on hold for a bit while Shep and his mates screwed around on the Citadel. It contributes nothing to ME3's story.

Leviathan and From Ashes both add a lot to the story (and really should have been included in the main game) whereas Citadel is pure fan service/nostalgia. Of course if that's what you're after then go for it. I still enjoyed it.

BTW, Omega isn't as bad as everyone says, it's just very combat focused and they missed an opportunity to add more story- or character-driven material. I thought it actually had some of the best combat and locations in ME3.

OOOKay, I'm a sucker, HAHA. I bought the Citadel DLC because I'm afraid of it going back up to $14.99. I was actually wondering if I should wait for an ME Trilogy coming to PS4 because Bioware teased it about it in an article….. BUUUUUUT, who am I kidding… who knows if it will happen. Soooo… I bought it, haha.

As for Leviathan and From Ashes…. I'm still tempted to get them… but I wonder if they will become 50% off too. I mean, the UK was offered 50% off on ALL of the ME DLCs, it should be fair that NA should get it too. So I'll just say this.. if any of them are 50% off, I will probably cough up the cash to get From Ashes and Leviathan…… MAAAAAAAAYBE Omega, haha.

I actually think the Omega mission is more fun to replay than the missions in the other DLC.  Not that I dislike the missions in the other ones or anything.  I understand why people complain about the story though, it really doesn't add much depth to the ME universe relative to something like Leviathan or Ashes (Javik's perspective on many things throughout the game makes that DLC worth it).

If I had to pick between Leviathan or Ashes to recommend for someone, I would probably say to get Ashes even if it only has 1 mission instead of 3.

yeah, I thought about and I might be leaning more towards From Ashes. It is disappointing that the mission is so short for $9.99, but I guess having Javik in the team is more better for the long term.

I would love to learn more about the story, which is the reason I would choose Leviathan. However, I wonder if it's a DLC where I can just watch on Youtube. I also heard that it's better to play it if you've never completed the game before. I've already completed ME3 three or so times already… so wonder if I'll still like it as much. I guess one thing that intrigues me is I heard that there are some changes to the game and perhaps the ending if I DO download Leviathan. Are those changes significant? I only heard that the dialogue in the ending is changed slightly. Anything else?

Leviathan includes a darker story, more insight to the ME galaxy, helps explain often held questions to the series, and three fairly tough missions (though more firefight oriented than tactical). And it offers one of the more enjoyable Bonus Powers: Domination; an organic version of Sabotage.
