Some people are saying that the devs said somewhere that we won't be revisiting Kirkwall.

I'm among those who thinks that the game starts in Kirkwall and it's promptly laid to waste by the Veil Tear.

I don't want to go anywhere that we've already been. We've hardly seen any of Thedas as it is.

Of the Free Marches, Starkhaven seems the most likely to visit, what with Sebastian's rule possibly in turmoil.
This is my assumption too.
Especially because the Developers have stated that content from the cut DA2 expansion pack (which was going to take place in Starkhaven) will have been moved to Dragon Age: Inqusition.

I wouldn`t mind seeing Kirkwall again. The city is actually quite cool, and the concet art of it in The World of Thedas is awsome. Seeing Starkhaven would be cool too, of course.

Nooo...i want my kirquisition ![]()
Seriously, i think there's an high chance to go back to Kirkwall (there's also a screenshot with big chains suggesting this) but if this happens, i hope to see it changed according to the events of DA2.

Based on the stories told by the Band of Three, i wouldn't be surprised if we saw Kirkwall again. After all, they discovered blood magic was being used to intentionally weaken the veil around Kirkwall

I wouldn't mind revisiting Kirkwall, but I'd like for there to be plenty of cities and villages in the game so that it doesn't feel empty. Maybe one major city per basic area, unless it doesn't make sense for there to be a major city there.

What if we will be able to visit Kirkwall but won't be able to leave it?

Kirkwall will be the site of the prologue and get destroyed by the big veil tear in the sky.

I'm with you on this one.

They lied / changed their mind? Wouldn't be the first time it happened.

Would like to see how this plays out.

You just want an excuse to blow up Kirkwall.

Maybe that "bomb" Anders made messed up the veil, as well.

I'd love to see Kirkwall again. Rendered in the new engine, plus way more open worldy (so we could get a better idea of how the city was laid out). I don't think it needs to be THE big area for the Free Marches but each region will have multiple maps, so it'd be a bummer if we didn't see SOME of the city.

It really wouldn't surprise me if the new game starts in Kirkwall, the prologue. Makes sense and you pickup Varric at the same time.

Considering the last we saw of him he wasn't anywhere near Kirkwall or even heading back there, that is rather unlikely. The comic takes place after the events of DA2, but before the interrogation by Cassandra.

I hope not... I hope I never get to see or experience that city ever again.
