Legion and Shepherd

Shepherd is organic, a normal human being, but after the events of the first five minutes he's turned into zombie cyborg Shep, and if the glowing scars are any indication, is now partly synthetic. Pretty obvious that this is going to be part of the whole questioning ones humanity thing.
But then I also thought: Legion is the opposite, he's an AI that is starting to break free from a collective conscious and formulate his own opinions: he's becoming in some ways, sentient. But he is the opposite direction of Shepherd:a synthetic taking on attributes that in the setting at least, we see in organics.
So I'm just wondering, does anyone else think this is probably going to be a conversation topic between Shepherd and Legion (assuming he becomes a party member etc etc): that the two characters kind of parallel one another with what they are going through?

Also; seeing Shepard's reconstruction, he's not that inhuman.

Not sure if this has been said before, but after watching a few trailers again (the new one was so epic I had to go watch ALL of them!), and when I reached one of the Sci vs Fi segments where they talk about questioning what it means to be human or really alive it got me wondering.

The geth are already sentient.
However, legion is starting to become more free-willed.
Yes, I can see how they have similar processes, but they are still very different. Shepard is still 99.9% human. Especially by heart / brain.
