Haraguni Aimi is the former lead singer of the now-defunct jpop band Stereopony. Aimi has, and had, a wonderful voice, but in 2012 she had to have surgery for throat polyps, and I don't believe that she ever fully recovered. This was a major (maybe the major) reason for the band's breakup later that year.

Aimi sang a lot of my favorite songs, so...yeah.

Every time I see your avatar the first thing that pops into my head is 'why is there a red skull in that cup?' You must have worked very hard to track down that distinctive pic, either that or happens yo be one of life's happy coincidences.

Me choice of avatar is somewhat in flux.

 

Currently, I was using one cut and resized from this beauty here, which is a somewhat unorthodox rendition of a WH40k Sister of Battle doing what the Sisterhood's doing best, cleansing heresy. May not be quite visible resized to 200x200, but noone said that Sisters can't have a good smoke while at work, and the smug expression at least still is recognizable.

My (current) avatar contains a stylised picture of the mascot for a Japanese music company called Nitro Plus. The character's name is Super Sonico.

 

Most people have seen the picture and just assumed the wavy, stylised lines were her hair, however, it's not. I think what it's supposed to be are the artist's interpretation of soundwaves. If you look closely, you'll see that the wavy lines are coming from the headphones, not the hair.

 

I have actually altered the colour of the picture. Originally, it was a green-grey colour. I used Photoshop to alter the colour to my liking, which is a colour similar to Super Sonico's hair colour. I felt the pink would be too girly, so I gave it some red. Thinking on it, it's not really girly, to have it be pink. Also, even if it is girly, why should I care what people think? I might make a copy of it, and make it more her hair colour. Unfortunately, it's hard to change the colour for specific bits, otherwise, it would not have been all the one colour.
