"ball thrown by the empress"

"As host of the party, I trust you did not intend to crash it like some unwashed workman drunk on three tankards of ale and a dare."

http://blog.bioware....rial-enchanter/

Vivienne is a supporter of the Empress.

Also, please note that this leak is from March 2013, long before anyone had heard about Red Templars, Golden Keys or Red Fists.

Of course, some of this "evidence" is more connectable than others. Those sceenshots come directly form the PAX demo but imagining that there could be a ball thrown in a game that happens in Orlais is not something difficult and whoever wrote this could have simply had a lucky guess.

You found all of it. Good job. We can also see something like a ball in the "Discover the Dragon Age" trailer.

EDIT

DAI_WarRoom.jpg

If you look at Leliana (upper right corner) she's all dressed in purple. Fits with the Purple Crows leader info.

It's too bad they didn't tell us who is leading the Red Fists. Let's be honest, that's what everyone wants to know. lol

How do we know that is leliana?

Green/blue eyes, short red head, appetizing lips, we know that she works with Cassandra and The Seekers, right hand of the current Divine, former bard and there's this concept in which you can see a red headed woman in the right DAI_Coronation.jpg

There are a lot of things that fit. She's the most plausible choice.

The scribe is also in gold...

She was also shown in the companion leak holding a feather and a paper support thingy ( don't know the name of that ). Seems like the brainy type to me. That helps with traiding and mathematics

You might want to separate the original leak and stuff you just added.

Also, please note that this leak is from March 2013, long before anyone had heard about Red Templars, Golden Keys or Red Fists.

Also note that it's after the companion survey leak of August 2012, which talked about being the Inquisitor, having different ways to finish quests, events being manipulated to increase chaos, and the veil tearing open and demons coming out during the peace talks.

How can you tell her eye color? It looks hazy red, thanks to the background and fog effect.

The leak is evidently incomplete since it doesn't mention confirmed elements like the Venatori but I do think there are far too many coincidences for it to be entirely fake.

If this is legit...

I'm probably going to have the Inquisitor appeal directly to the Empress.

Why would we need to recruit our elven fade expert at the end of the game? This orlesian ball sounds like it is of great importance, and assuming it takes place like the landsmeet, we will end up having it be a major plot of the later game. Assuming that it won't be a prologue event like ostagar, and the empress and everyone attending will die regardless of your actions. It seems counterproductive to either make companions recruited so late into the game, or to have such a major event take place so early on during a civil war and Armageddon scenario, of all times.

I don't want this game to have so much promise only to **** the bed with this leak being accurate.

I increased the space between the original leak and the images that I believe pertain to it. Will that be enough?

Now you are doing this just to annoy me, aren't you. Click on the image, look at the eyes (more precisely the iris ) of the other characters and then look at her. It's clear that she has a different eye color than them. While they have brown eyes, she has blue/green eyes...that pale, almost grey coloured eyes...and please don't start with Solaires yellowish eyes.

What yellow eyes, what are you even talking about? They look grey, dark grey, reddish, and that's about it for eyes. Except the inquisitor, who doesn't appear to have eyes for some reason.

Sure, it was just a slightly confusing.

I still sincerely doubt Solas is the elven ambassador looking for lordship and political power. We'll see as we learn more about him though.

Where did you read that?  I'm betting that we've got an elven Fade expert coming into the party as we speak.  My money is on Solas, and I think there is some hidden depths to him.  He just seems too unassuming if you ask me. And I'm betting he's the same someone that David Gaider mentioned having a disturbing Fade sequence being written for.  Even if Solas isn't a Dreamer, it's in the codex that some mages are more comfortable with Fade energies than others.

I wish he was a Dreamer companion

Hold on, per what I have read of the Masked Empire, I'm pretty damn sure Celene was an only child, so I'm unsure about the Red Fist "spoiler"

Eeeeeeeeeeeeh any leak that originates on 4chan needs to be taken with more salt than you can physically swallow in one sitting. If you had whatever site they got that information from, I'd be more inclined to believe it.

The leak is evidently incomplete since it doesn't mention confirmed elements like the Venatori but I do think there are far too many coincidences for it to be entirely fake.

Considering how many speculations and claims there have been, and how vague the claims here are, I would tell you just the opposite: throw out enough unsupported claims, and eventually one may be close to the truth. It don't imply that that particular claim is supported, though- it just means it happens to be closer than others. When you're vague enough, anything can look like a coincidence and alignment.

Which isn't to say this is a total fake: the Red Templars (or their name being dropped before their announcement) is the most relevant thing, assuming that is true. Meredith kind of broke ground on that awhile ago, and it's not exactly a secret they were going to keep using Red Lyrium. But the rest? I'd be surprised if this has as much relevance as the ME leaks did to the final cut of ME3- there were thematic similarities, but quite a bit was significantly changed from those leaks, which were far more specific than this one even claims to be.

For example, the three supporting agencies? Well, who would have thought a modern Bioware game would follow a trinary system that included angry red people, soft-power oriented blue(purple) people, and more mercenary indifferent self-interested people? It's amazing how you can make the themes fit. I'm not particularly impressed with the chosen symbols: angry red fisting for martial power isn't exactly uncommon, and was explicitly used in DA2 for a similar position. Golden Keys are also a common symbol of wealth and political power.

As for things like Lelianna being an advisor figure, Ferelden-Orlais tension, and people seeking the Golden City and fade power? We've had foreshadowing of all that.

If this had any basis in reality (and I can see reasons why someone would make a speculation reaching these things: unlikely individually but more common in the context of many claims), I'd wager this was someone glancing at a very tentative summary document more than anything concrete.

From my understanding, the original leak appeared on The Witcher 2 or 3 forums.

Still, look at the date. It's prior to any official info we got.

The screenshot appeared on the Witcher forums after the PAX demo and the person who posted it did not provide a direct link, also Celene does not have a brother.

It's fake people.

I'm treating any "spoilers" or "leaks" with the same grain of salt.  Unless it comes from the DA team directly, and there is a source link to back it up, I automatically assume it's hearsay until proven otherwise.
